So, they need 3 more teams. Move ISU, KU, and KSU with Missouri and Nebraska. Then that creates a East division and a West division.

Just thinking out loud anyways.

Why do they need 3 more teams?

Mr. Laz 04-30-2010 09:27 PM

i don't give a shit about Mizzou ... don't care if we ever play them again tbh

what sucks is that this whole screwed up mess is because of all those assholes down in texas. Those bastards don't give a shit about the Big 12 or anything else. They will only stay in the Big 12 conference under their preferential financial terms. Mizzou and Nebraski leave it's all the same to them they will just add another couple schools that will do what they tell them to do ... Houston,TCU?

if they don't get the financial terms they want they will just create an all-Texas conference or some stupid shit like that.

Have i mention lately how much i hate the state of texas :cuss:

you think if we sell Texas to mexico it will stop all those ants from creeping across the borders into America?

And 5 times in the last decade.

I know it'll be anathema to say, but they've had more college BB success than KU the last decade.

Was assuming if pitt, syracuse, and some other team weren't joining in the big 10 for a big 16 or something.

And w/ that, you can blame the management of the Big 12. They allowed Texas to gain too much power, and totally shunned schools like KSU, ISU, Missouri.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-30-2010 09:30 PM

The Big 12 has two things going against it:

#1) It's not big enough, strong enough to compete with the genetic TV freak of the Big 10 and
#2) It's centered around that stinking cesspool Texas, that place I like to call Mexico North*

I apologize to all the Mexicans out there

I agree. To be clear, I don't begrudge MU or NU for the decision at all; seriously. I just think it could be pretty short-sighted, but Lord knows I've been wrong before. If the money is better at the moment....cool. I just wonder down the road though, if whatever remains of the Big 12 will actually do better. I wouldn't bet against it. Guess we'll see.

What is a hypothetical where it would.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-30-2010 09:32 PM

It's about the money, but it's also about more than the sports money. There is more prestige involved in being a Big 10 school because of the academics.

RustShack 04-30-2010 09:32 PM

So this means the Big 12 wont have a championship game anymore?

Mr. Laz 04-30-2010 09:34 PM

congrats to MU and Neb ... they get to go to a conference and actually get a fair shake.

i'm jealous
