Yep. This is a done deal.

Wow we're on a roll with getting our assistants out of town. I'm just waiting to hear now that the Broncos have hired Dick Curl.

Sounds like Crennel's either going to heal his hip or stay in Cleveland as an undefined position. Who do you like as our next D-Coordinator?

Tim Krumrie!!! FTW!!!

I think he's an average to slightly above average D-coordinator when put in a situation where he can shape his defense (and not try to contort it to the whims of a !@#$tard head coach).

He took over Greg Robinson's defense with the same talent, and the results were WORSE in 2004 than they were 2003.

I'm stunned actually. Only thing I can think of is what I mentioned earlier -- that Schwartz knows that all Gun is good for is motivating the players, and that Schwartz himself will be the brains behind the operation. Like when Marty and Gun were here.

Maybe.

But it takes a special type of talent to be the man who ultimately oversees a defense, which has been the focal point of FA dollars and day-one draft picks, that records 10 sacks. Total. For the mother****ing season.

He's a coordinator that can look competent if he has a hall of fame pass rush and good starting corners. Which makes him indistinguishable from 99% of the other defensive coaches in the NFL.

This is nepotism, nothing else. The good ol' boy network at its finest. Once you get into the league, you coach for life.

Not surprised at all. I think he can be a much better Defensive Coordinator if allowed to install his own personal defensive philosophy.

He's going to shit this down his leg if he goes to Detroit. They really have no talent on that side of the ball.

****ing Teflon.

Under Vermeil it was no talent. Under Edwards it was the "wrong system." Under Mel Brooks it will be ____. When will this ****ing stop?

#32. Hello!?! WTF?!?

Ah, that's until Gun puts his annual "wish list" together.

Sweet.....maybe he'll get Detroit to trade us a 3rd round pick for Pollard......and a 2nd for Hali!

DeezNutz 01-16-2009 03:45 PM

The odds of Detroit absolutely shitting the bed with the #2 overall selection just increased exponentially.

In Vermeil's last season as our Head Coach we had the 16th best defense in the NFL. Don't let that get in the way of your argument though.

FringeNC 01-16-2009 03:45 PM

Gun will fit in perfectly in Detroit. There is no accountability.
