I used to be a pornoholic, but my girlfriend would scroll through my histories and she'd be offended by some of the comparatively intense stuff I'd enjoy. I used to know names, scenes, genres that I preferred. I had my favored websites.

I still know about them, but it was driving a wedge between us. Over time they'll fade. Although I'd like to know people's faves around here out of morbit curiousity.

Besides, we had/have a healthy sex life. Once we moved in together not too long ago I had to leave them behind permanently. I don't particularly miss them, they were more a way to pass time more than anything. But they were a featherlight & inconsequential way to pass time, it's just too bad this kind of stuff is taboo.

The trade off was worth it, though.

I'm not going to clear my history because I'm not paranoid, nor was I particularly ashamed that I watched (more than) my fair share of porn.

It came up as an issue because there were instances in the relationship when fidelity was an issue. So as a result I had to thin down a lot of my promiscuous online activity, toss my webcam and grow up in general.

I continue to believe there's nothing wrong with porn. I don't think she thinks there's anything wrong with porn. I just think there was a point where it didn't fit in our lives anymore.

I will say it sucks, though. I did enjoy it. But I don't think I'll miss it.

I would imagine she was just typing in some website and that drop down menu appeared with like 16 porn sites on it, she was initially shocked and proceeded to scroll through.

Her main issue wasn't that I was into porn, it was a combination of the fact that I was heavy into porn + some issues we were going through.

I pretty much only watch IFeelMyself.com stuff. You can find a bit of that on tube8.com. There's also Beautiful Agony, but that's not *really* porn. They just film chicks' faces while they have orgasms.

Dude, you don't need to explain yourself to anyone here, especially when it comes to relationship issues. People that say "I'd have punched that bitch in the ****!" are all full of shit. We all do things in the name of love that we never thought we'd end up doing. It's compromise. It's part of growing up, like you said. Some people just never grow up or learn to compromise, and then wonder why their relationships fail.
