All tough talk aside, our streak extends to 10 games.

Either these are typos or these guys are on to something!

Sadly, I think it's the former. :(

No, but they could beat Kansas. :p

i want to see us just not get embarrassed. play like men, don't give up 40, actually move the ball.

i think that if we keep them under 30 points and we score a single TD, that would be better than I expect

JuicesFlowing 09-05-2008 03:19 PM

I would love to see an unlikely upset of the Patriots, but I'd be happier if we come home and just crush Oakland's dead, black, soul. I digress. I hope we play well in N.E. Might be a wet game, with Hanna throwing around some drops.

WilliamTheIrish 09-05-2008 03:21 PM

We lose by three scores. Eh. It's what we are. What I'm worried about (under Herm) is what we'll become.

Seriously though, there's always a chance, and Herm's style might even keep us in the game for a while. Nobody wants to see the players just show up and take a beating, but that has nothing to do with us expecting a beating. I'm not going to get all rah-rah and pumped up for a game that could be over in the first 15-20 minutes. Low expectations followed by a huge surprise is much better than high expectations and a huge letdown whenever you have no control over the outcome.

you know you didnt have to throw me into this. why? because i say that there's a chance we win? well look around a lot of other people say the same thing. not just me so why single me out? to be an asshole? looks that way

D-Day (Bruce McGill): War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter (Tim Matheson): [whispering] Germans?
Boon (Peter Riegert): Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... [thinks hard] the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go! [runs out, alone; then returns] What the **** happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer -
Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.
D-Day: Let's do it.
Bluto: LET'S DO IT!!

wish I knew how yto imbed clips

That doesn't include me then because I won't be on during the game. I probably won't be on till after the 2nd and maybe even the night game is over. I watch football on sunday not hang out on a forum. I do that when there is no game.

I wanna see a fight and I want our 'Young Guns' to pick it. I want Dorsey to head slap the snot out of the first Patriot O lineman he goes up against. Slap him in the ear hole with all his force as if he were Tombstone Jackson. Then get in his face and say I hope you brought your lunch Bitch cause I'm gonna be here all day long. I wanna see the same from all our D linemen. I want some face mask grabbing and yankin' till Patriot helmets are off their heads. I wanna see DJ blitz and smash Brady to the ground even though the balls already been thrown. Bury his ass in the Foxborough turf. I want the same from Hali and Turk. Smash that S.O.B to the ground dog pile on and then twist his ankle. I wanna see Page and Pollard sandwich Moss and make blood flow from his nose. I don't care if the ball was thrown to Welker or it's a running play for that matter. Send that skinnny mo fo to the bench. Same goes for Welker. Screw that little prick. I want Alberts to grab a defender by his jersey pick him up and pancake his ass. I don't care if it's holding. Smash the P.O.S into the ground. I want our young corners to talk trash like it's never been talked before delivering hits even though they're a step late and the pass was incomplete. I wanna see Cox smash Jr Say I Still Don't Have A Ring right in the face with the crown of his helmet. Knock that old fuc to retirement where he belongs. I want to see all this early and often. Set the tone early and let these guys know that youth will be served. ****ing Patriots.:cuss:

Who cares about a win? In addition to your thoughts, I would like to see the DL break through giving a chance for Hali to earhole **** Brady while Dorsey pulls out a stapler and then staples Brady's sack to his forehead...

That's just my humble opinion.....

One thing for sure is I don't want to watch us be all nice and sweet and get our asses handed to us in the process. I see so many fans being all "realistic" and laying down before the ball is even kicked. Makes me wanna puke.

Hey Phil, I posted this in the Homer Glasses Thread. I think it applies here too...

You are right Mic, we have nothing to lose. Unfortunately, instead of firing these kids up and going out aggressively like we have nothing to lose, Herm will sit back in soft coverage, run draw plays and check downs because [Herm]You can't turn the ball over against a veteran team like this. They're veterans and they're good football players[/Herm].

So instead of blitzing the hell out their gimpy QB, getting physical with their receivers, taking shots down the field at their crappy secondary, we're gonna sit back and not give up the big play and not turn the ball over. Annnnnnnnd its gonna suck.
