Better than winning because you went out and acquired 3 franchise players.

No they wouldn't suck without Kobe if they had Bynum.

I guess that depends on your definition of sucks. I'm not sure they would have even made the playoffs without Kobe.

Not trying to take anything away from the Lakers because they are a great team. But seeing as Kobe is the best player in the NBA and quite possibly the best player of all time, the Lakers would be mediocre at best without him. He has more impact on this team than any other super star has on any other team. Kobe makes his team mates play better.
