AT least Vermeil's teams were fun to watch. A loss is a loss and it sucks...but I'd rather watch a circus offense than endless 3 and outs.

True enough. Though the end result was the same, it was much more entertaining.

But all those puntless shootouts did take years off my life. The only thing Herm's team might do is bore me to death.

It took Dick Vermeil 3 years to get the team he wanted..his first two seasons were marked by 6-10 and 8-8 records. When he got his team, we went 13-3 leading the league in scoring but almost last in defense and everybody was happy with our playoff game just because "hey, we were scoring more points", but everybody pretty much knew we had no chance to win because we weren't going to stop Petyton Manning. Why didn't I hear the cries of firing Dick like I now here about Herm? Because the guy cried at a few press conferences and hugged some players? I can't wait to watch the rest of this season and then finally put the pieces together for next year. There are some good OL free agents for 2008, specifically Alan faneca who doesn't want to be in Pittsburgh next year.
