Not trying to interject into the argument here, but this reminds me of a poster on another site I've been going to. The dude says he's tired of seeing us make the same mistakes over and over again year after year, yet he's got that win now now now mentality. Does anyone else find that contradictory? Obviously, something's not working.

To answer the starting post, we don't ever hit rock bottom. That's the problem. We don't rebuild, we try to fill up the holes in the dam with our fingers.

Huard knows where everyone needs to be and isn't afraid to grill someone who isn't doing their job. He has 1/10 of the talent that Croyle has, but he gives the Chiefs the best chance to win on Sunday's...

Live with it.

We're only going to live with it for half the season AT MOST.

Croyle will be starting by midseason. Huard will have been beaten to a bloody pulp by then and Croyle can come in as the savior.

I have another 10 years before I start getting impatient.

Besides, I love the NFL and the Chiefs far too much to have to suffer through 30 Croyle INT's this season.

What about next season? or the season after that?

At what point do we say enough is enough with the never has been vet QB's recycling through arrowhead leading this team to no where?

When do you get tired of not being competitive?

Who rebuilds in the NFL? Where does this work? The Patriots just reload every year...

Like, what team was like, "ok, we suck...let's start players that will cause us to lose on Sunday so we can rebuild!"

Drafting 1st overall and 21st overall isn't a big enough difference to turn you from an average team to a Patriots dynasty.

This isn't baseball. There is no such thing as rebuilding. Developing talent? Yeah. Rebuilding? No. No one Florida Marlins' it and has a 14 million dollar payroll in the NFL.

Whoa there sparky...

You are talking about an NFL Coach in Bill Belicheck vs a DIII coach in Herm Edwards...

You are comparing apples to raisins.....

Belicheck has something Herm will never ever see as a Coach...

Herm and Belicheck should never be talked about in the same paragraph, let alone same thread....

Never compared Herm and Belicheck...

But Herm isn't a DIII coach. Don't kid yourself, Chief.

Um, most every team except the Patriots and us have done this. The only difference is that they are good in the draft and we are lousy.

There are lots of teams that have done this succesfully, but I have to catch a plane so someone else I'm sure has watched the NFL over the past 10 years and can provide the numerous examples to you.

You're right.

I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Goddammit.

No one is saying Croyle is a Savior.

He's going to make mistakes. But why put those mistakes off a year (or even a half of a year) when you have ZERO chance to win a SB THIS year?

We're wasting a year (or half-year) by not finding out what we have NOW.

If not now, when?

Live with it.

Huard will give us a chance to win some games that Croyle might lose.

But, unless the defense suddenly turns into the Ravens D of a few years ago, a game manager is never going to take this team to the SB.

Why do I care if we win 9 games, as opposed to 6 games when I know the end result will be the same, a team sitting at home no later than the end of the first round of the playoffs.

With Huard at the helm this year, I know that not only is this a wasted season, but '09 is wasted as well.

WooHoo, I have two wasted seasons to look forward to!!!

Cincy, Saints (Brees is fairly young), San Diego, Arizona, San Francisco, Seattle, and Baltimore just to name a few

Only Cincy and Frisco qualify. The other situations are not the same.
