When did the NY Times become Onion Sports throwing some satire in Sergio's direction for his putting?

Moving up to Indep. in about a month...actually right up the road from Drumm Farm.

Impressions from anyone who's played it? What's the course like? Rates?

IMO, Stone Canyon is a better course, and you can get times super cheap on GolfNow.

Kylee was just put out by Fiama. That was a tough one for me. Kylee is the perfect golf girl cutie but Fiama has one of the best butts I ever seen swinging a golf club.

Hot as they come on sports TV, but what she's doing with Eric Kuselias is beyond me. He dumped his whole family to tap that. What an asshole.

I am actually glad less people are playing. Makes it easier to get a tee time. You really need to spend a year on the range before you come out and play regularly. Or carry thy ass to the First Tee

Really thinking about buying a golf cart this year. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not convinced that a lot of golfers have given up the game. Maybe they got to old and maybe there's so many courses these days that young people don't join the Country Clubs. Why spend $20grand initiation fee to a club when there are good courses to play pretty much everywhere. Golf is just like the NFL and wants to grow the pie. Just like the constant push against slow play. That's about running as many golfers and carts around the course in a days time as possible.

I agree.

I am not seeing it when I go to get a tee time. It's still packed and I get super tired of waiting to take each shot because they let anybody that can convert oxygen into carbon-dioxide play on the course.

PSA:
For ****s sake people...if you've taken your 7th shot and not reached the green...pick that ****er up and either drop it on the green and take two putts or move on to the next hole. One and no more than two practice swings. A round of golf should only last 4 hours and 20 minutes...maybe 20 minutes longer. If it's been 5 hours....you and the people on the course with you are doing it wrong.

Not a bad price if you're in the market

Twenty bucks cheaper at BudgetGolf. Honestly, I never even go to TGW or GlobalGolf anymore. Their closeouts are always overpriced and you can find used clubs cheaper elsewhere.

I ****ing hate slow golf. I can hit a round in just over 3 hours if the course is empty or there's a big enough gap to the people in front of me and I suck (consistent mid 90's shooter which I could take lower pretty easily if I actually took some lessons as I just started golfing three years ago and have never had a formal lesson).

I'm actually kind of infamous among my friends for yelling at people who analyze their put for 10 minutes before hitting the ball. I've also been known to cuss out foursomes who won't let me play through when I'm by myself or with one other person.

philfree 04-22-2014 12:24 PM

There's nothing worse then playing golf on a beautiful day and having some jackass who can't break 90 running up your ass when there is no group behind them.

It's equally bad having people in front of you who don't know how to get around a golf course and they won't let you play through and it sucks when you're in a group and no one can be ready to play when it's their turn. They wait to check the yardage, the wind and to choose a club after the other players have played. I hate that.
