****!!!! WE could offer that no problem.

Why would KC do that?? Why waste 7MM just to see him walk after the 2018 season if he plays well?? This roster isn’t being built for 2018, it’s being built for the long-haul. It would have been a waste of 7MM dollars.

Yeah, that's really a pointless investment. Maybe we were going for multi year deal and the money isn't why he wanted.

Bailey
??
Jones
Ford/Kpassagnon
Hitchens
Ragland
Houston
Fuller
Amerson
Sorenson
Berry

Yikes.

Couch-Potato 03-16-2018 09:17 PM

glaring needs at DB and DL still, plenty of cap available... not many interesting names left on the list left out there

RunKC 03-16-2018 09:19 PM

Also just saw Case Keenum has $7 million gauranteed in 2019. That sure as hell doesn’t sound like Denver is taking a QB. They wouldn’t sit a top 5 pick at QB for 2 years or cut Keenum and eat $7 million in dead cap in 2019.

Nelson starts over Amerson.

You know they’re going to add to that group by August. Relax.

Couch-Potato 03-16-2018 09:25 PM

Honey Badger was cheap compared to Fuller #2.

"The Chicago Bears matched the Green Bay Packers' four-year, $56 million offer sheet for cornerback Kyle Fuller on Friday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport."

Yeah, plenty of talent for old man Sutton, as promised.

Well the safety market was non-existent bc Honey Badger hadn’t set it until now.

We’ll see, but HB getting only $7 million is great news. All the other safeties must be pissed that he lowered the market

This is what pisses me off.

The brass made it clear that personnel was the culprit for the defense not showing up this season, yet the Chiefs have made marginal changes thus far:

OUT: DJ, Hali, Logan (maybe), Peters, Mitchell, Parker, R.Wilson, Revis, Gaines, KPL and other scrubs.

IN: Fuller, Hitchens, Jenkins retained, Nunez-Roches tendered, T. Smith retained

Chiefs are nuts if they think the draft will fill holes on this talent depleted defense. I know more moves will happen, but Jack and Shit remains for quality FA’s to re-tool what we were led to believe is a contender. DL and secondary are below average right now.

O.city 03-16-2018 09:36 PM

I wouldn’t mind bringing Logan back on a decent deal

I think we maybe nab one of those guys and hopefully trade for someone on a rookie contract who can play somewhere on defense. Draft guys on top of it.

It won’t be that bad when it’s all said and done I believe, Veach has been too aggressive filling holes since last July for me to expect otherwise.

O.city 03-16-2018 09:40 PM

Who’s still available at safety ?
