Props then goes to Kansas for hanging in there in spite of getting worked like a blow up doll on the field. Should have bolted to the Mountain West while it was ripe for the taking.

And if it has been said once, it's been said a million times - if KU had been offered a spot in the SEC, you two mouth breathers would be sitting here talking about what a cluster**** the Big XII-2 really is.

Mizzou went to the best conference in college athletics. Not a difficult decision to make.

I can see when you don't really have "a thing" like mizzou then you might as well keep running hoping a change in scenery might help you on the court.

Nebraska I'll never quite get. They were a big dog in football and although were inferior when compared to Oklahoma and Texas at least they had identity. They ruled the Big 8 for decades and were considered "the tradition" when people thought of college football in the midwest.

Now they are many rungs under Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, etc. Shit, they are basically interchangeable with Wisconsin…all the way down to color and logo.

Colorado? Who knows. They are kind of on an island no matter where they choose to play.

A&M will forever be known as "the school Johnny Manziel went to after Texas didn't want him". I don't think that would be any different had they been in the Big 12 or SEC.

Yeah, I would get a massive boner playing big games against Arkansas and Miss State.

But that's the funny thing: they got banished to the Western (legends? leaders?) division where those Big 3 aren't in there. They joined just before the BIG brought in 2 East Coast mutts, which pushed the crud matchups their way. It's pathetic but hilarious at the same time.

Will be interesting to revisit this in one year and see where things sit.

Money from the SEC network is likely not going to be as huge as some think, but $8-12 million in payouts looks like a reasonable estimate IF ESPN gets it on TWC and Comcast as expected.

Schools like ISU and KU and KSU should be thanking the schools that left for changing the status quo... instituting equal sharing of revenue and thereby increasing those schools' pots from Tier 1 and Tier 2 rights.

There's also the increased revenue you're getting from bringing in junior members TCU and WVU, and their decreased initial stakes.

You're welcome.

http://www.kansascity.com/2014/04/13...ce-income.html

Here is another article about the income..it says Missouri almost doubled it's income in its first year in the SEC compared to its final years in the Big 12

So saying that Missouri is losing money for moving is wrong and shows why it's good for Kansas fans that their university has such low standards for acceptance of their Jerry's Kids fan base

Chief_For_Life58 05-31-2014 06:15 PM
