Someone mentioned Coughlin's last couple of seasons with Jacksonville, and a couple of other coaches... there are so many variables involved... and sometimes shit just happens. It's hard to stay in that elite group of teams, and if you're not in it, there's a pretty fine line between being mediocre and shitty.

People are terrible at mistaking relatively random or complicated events as spot-on trends. On one hand, maybe his time in Philly was up for various reasons, but it doesn't mean the game has passed him by or whatever.

Pioli's ouster is brought to you by Bob LaMonte, who represents Reid, Heckert, Chilly, and Pat Shurmur. Bob LaMonte does not represent Pioli, so there is no doubt that LaMonte insisted that Clark hire his client Heckert as a package deal.

Perhaps we got a good deal on all of these LaMonte clients since they have all been fired and are owed salaries from their previous employer to help offset the Pioli costs...

Call me crazy, but I'd like to see what a new QB and coaching staff could get out of him. He should be better than he is...no sense not trying to fix your first round draft pick from only 2 seasons ago.
