I told him that, if he wants to take a break next weekend, that there's a movie coming out I want to see and invited him. If he wants to, he will. If not, eh.

I wouldn't say that's exactly true but it is likely too but...some guys got other stuff going on. I didn't call my current gf back, hell i was on a date with another girl then, but i was thinking about her. She actually texted me a few days later and i called her back. He is either not that interested or busy. If he doesn't call past a week and half i'd say move on.

Just cause you had 1 date doesn't mean you have to make him your everything. You say you're independent well do your normal thing and don't contact him, i mean its too late but for future, let the guy call you or what almost a week if need be and ask how its going. If he wants to go out with you he'll do the inviting...or give you some sort of hint.

If somebody really hits it off with you, there's no 3-day waiting period. They're calling the next day. Or later that night. Doesn't mean something can't come out of it, but I'd probably start looking for other options.

That is what I think - unless he is dead, or seriously injured, he'd be calling back in 3 days if he was interested.
