We're going to kill that defense this year.

Can you imagine facing KC's WRs down a CB.

And McDuffie

And Mahomes

I’ll give you McDuffie. Because Elam is a complete and total bust.

But y’all aren’t ready for the Mahomes conversation yet. The rose colored glasses are tinted too strongly.

You say we're always predicting an injury for Allen (and btw it's always "all these hits are going to add up, they use him too much as a running weapon in games that are less important, look at Cam Newton), WHILE HE LITERALLY IS GETTING READY FOR A THURSDAY NIGHT GAME WITH A DINGED-UP HAND BECAUSE HE RAN THE BALL UNNECESSARILY.

Mahomes has had 2x as many serious injuries than Allen has.

The bump on his hand stuff is just nonsense.

O.city 09-10-2024 12:39 PM

Yeah, thankfully you got Allen. Worked out well for you.

He also has 3x as many rings, with a real chance at a 4th this year.

KC fans already got 3 Super Bowl rings and 4 conference titles out of Mahomes. You’re still waiting to get those with Josh Allen. When these guys are in their 30’s, the injury stuff will catch up to them. Russell Wilson and Big Ben are good examples of that recently. Father Time is a mean bastard.

Chieftain 09-10-2024 01:12 PM

Buffalo beat up on a depleted Cards defense which has no defensive line to speak off and a midget for a QB. Great achievement.

You say some dumb shit like that again and i'll make sure you're so banned that even your mom won't let you through the door.

Don't **** wit me, dicklicks.

What is the actual argument that Allen is better than Mahomes? I've seen that pop up on the twitter streets

Mahomes has had zero serious injuries, so your math is way the **** off.

Yes, as you noticed, there are not-insignificant number of people who feel this way.

Personally, I would not use the word “better” - I would use equal.

If Allen was drafted by KC, he has all the rings that Mahomes has. Thats not to say that Mahomes isn’t great - he is. But he was drafted into the BEST possible situation imaginable:

Mahomes was drafted to a team with:

1) A hall-of-fame offensive coach
2) A team with a hall-of-fame pass catching tight end
3) A team with a hall-of-fame wide receiver talent
4) A team that had made 5 of the last 6 playoffs
5) A team that had PLAYOFF wins with Alex freaking Smith

He was drafted to a DREAM scenario.

Allen on the other hand was drafted to a team with:

1) A rookie defensive head coach
2) A team with zero hall-of-famers
3) A team whose best receiver was Kelvin Benjamin
4) A team who missed 18 of the previous 19 playoffs

Allen was drafted into one of the absolute WORST situations.

If Allen & Mahomes switched draft places, Allen would have the rings and Mahomes would be seen as the 2nd best QB in the NFL. Just the way it is.

So yeah, Mahomes is no better than Allen. They’re equals, but Mahomes was lucky enough to be drafted into an elite situation.

Mahomes gets docked points because his team doesn't suck flaming aids cock. So Allen always gets the, "He does less with more!" bullshit argument.

And he's a physical runner instead of "just" the greatest scrambler the NFL has ever seen in Mahomes.

Physically, he looks a little more prototype.

TLDR; There is no argument to be made for any relevant metric.
