Should we be excited about Andy Reid becoming the HC of the Chiefs? |

It may very well be that he's using AZ to gain interest from other teams. Or it may be that he's using other teams to get more from AZ. Remember that Reid didn't fly to KC? KC flew to Reid. Everyone wants to believe that he's doing this all because he wants to be in KC when there's no proof. The game can be played either way. |

maybe the dude is just trying to get out in front of a story to further his career???? |

So what if Reid decides to keep Pisoli?
|
Hmmm ... perhaps Clark has fooled me again. I can't keep track of this guy. He must have opened the checkbook, at least.
Football folks around here are speculating that Reid would ask for something between 8 and 9 million a year. FAX |

Bring DRC with you, Reid.

things are heating up!

REID: Hey, Howard let's get tight ass Bidwell to give me some more $$ because I truly have no QB in AZ and there was a reason why I didn't keep Kolb. It will be ugly early on. ESKIN: What's my cut ? REID: $$$$ ? ESKIN: "Alrighty then let's yank on some KC Chief fans cocks until they fall off for the next 48hrs" !!! |

Multiple reports that all parties that need to be to make a deal are still in Philly. |

Just don't see them meeting for 9 hrs without there being a deal close...
|
The deal is done. I'm convinced.
|
So if we get Reid do we have to hear about the stupid ****ers at NEPA Chiefs again.

One thing to keep in mind:
Reid's agent is a bit of a clown and likes to put stuff out there for leverage constantly. So he could be leaking a bunch of garbage to many reporters. I wouldn't believe anything until it is 100% official. |
This is exciting.

Bigglestein, get down to that meeting pronto!

The Philly dude in the video I posted thinks its gonna happen. He's close with Reid and Donovan

Getting multiple emails that a deal is going to get done. But its just speculation. Nothing I trust. I havent heard from my radio guy since a couple of hours ago. |
Only crappy thing about this... at least according to the Howard Eskin report is that Fat Scott appears to be heavily involved in the negotiations.
So much for him have a backseat role in this process. |

I think it is a done deal as well. I think Reid likes having that #1 pick with a new job. Geno get ready. I like this hire, Reid is still hungry for that SB ring.

I personally think this would be a very good hire. I'm very optimistic about it. Look at the stuff he's gone through, losing his son and all of the other junk in Philly... I just think he needs a change of scenery. The football mind is still there, but Philly is a really tough city to coach in. Honestly, I think it would be an outstanding hire.... He has been a proven winner. I don't think it would be a good idea to play roulette again on a college coach (proven not a good idea most of the time) or another Haley project. Let's go with a guy that has experience in the seat and just needs a new start.
|
I can't keep up with this thread, but there is no doubt Reid drafts Geno Smith if he lands here. They already draw the comparisons to McNabb with Geno, it just seems natural. And just like when he landed in Philly, we've already got enough of the defensive foundation in place here.
We're going to the ship!! |
How hilarious will it be when Reid agrees to come on board, is given total power and then promptly tells Clark to shitcan Scooter.
|
I'd say if it was 9 hours long Reid went down the roster, player by player, and got status, cap info, etc., etc.
Now, that's not to say he wouldn't do the same with other teams as well. That just may be how the guy is. |

Definitely fills the seats and STH's.

The Chiefs might actually have a 21st century passing offense.
Holy shit that is exciting. |

Does hiring Reid mean we shift back to the 43 defense?

As meh as I was to the idea of Reid in KC, I've been glued to the goddamn computer all day. With that said, I just check out Reid's record in Philly, and that's a pretty consistent winner there boys! I didn't quite realize the extent of his success there....I'm in! Fire up the Pequod Ishmael!
