There's nothing wrong with Gray other than he's TE2 on a team that has Travis Kelce on it.

yeah I mean Kelce isn't going to be around forever. If Noah Gray can step up and produce, good. If he sucks well then you know that's one more position you need to fix. I'm not too worried. This is like the first time Kelce has missed a game due to injury in forever.

Sad thing is people are going to be gunning for that knee now for the remainder of the season. There's going to be one or two defenders on every team that will love to go low on him in hopes of knocking him out and some defensive coordinators that will instruct them to do it.

Wouldn't be surprised if he plays. Travis is a tough sob. Big reason he's never out. It's not just luck. That's said I hope they sit him.

If this happens (and I think you're absolutely correct that it will be attempted) Reid better take a break from his little nice guy act and end their QBs season, whoever it might be.

If it's just a bone bruise, there's no way he doesn't play.

Rapsheet said it’s a bone bruise. Kelce should be good to go! It’s gonna hurt like hell but he should be good to go!

Zero percent chance he should not take the 10 days rest.

No Jones, line doesn't move.
No Kelce, line moves.

You paying attention, Chris?

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 09-06-2023 08:12 AM

Jason Kelce actually suffered the exact same injury as him and he didn’t miss any games. He tried kicking a piece of wood in half

I'm not willing to say something like this YET... but everyone needs an opportunity to prove it. This could be Gray's.

This is how I'm feeling. I think Travis lobbies to play and the medical staff allows it if they can get the swelling down. KC medical staff has a pretty good history with treatment so I'm cautiously optimistic. I think you see him play ~30% of snaps early in the game to see how the knee reacts and, if it's good they let him rip in the 2nd half.

I also think the 10 days of rest on the backside of this will turn out to be a huge blessing for 87 instead of 7 days.

I had one playing baseball in my teens. Got hit at home; hyperextended it. It was sore but I played the next day. It really felt more than anything like a bone bruise but the knee felt fairly stable, fairly quickly.

I wasn't 35, though - may be a different animal.
