The Raiders won't pose any appreciable threat other than occasionally playing spoiler for as long as Gruden is there.

They've taken their rightful spot at the bottom of the division. They'll be an interesting gambling novelty for a bit in Las Vegas and the lack of state income tax may get a few players interested in playing there, but they will have a similar problem the Chargers will have - they're going to be playing in a destination city where opposing fans will take over that stadium to make a weekend out of it anytime Raiders fans don't fill the place.

Well Chucky scowling while the 'franchise QB' that cost them Khalil Mack is turtling due to phantom pressure ain't gonna fill those seats.

Simms was asked about how it was like to be under Gruden's coaching just now on ProFootball Talk. He opens up on how Gruden feels that the QB is accountable and responsible for all mistakes.

An example is when a center missed the handle off the ball and sent it between Simms' legs which resulted in Simms being thrown out of the play. Simms yelled at Gruden "What the ****!?".

Another story Simms tells is when he was next door in a staff meeting and Gruden was trashing Simms. The walls were paper thin and he could hear Gruden say "If our QB only threw it here or if he wasn't so stupid..etc".

Simms would then see Gruden after the meeting in the hallway with a tense moment with Gruden knowing that Simms heard him but Gruden not caring.

Simms seemed very emotional during the segment, even with Florio trying to lighten things up.

Gruden was right; Carr missed over and over.

Or if Sutton drops everyone in coverage again and gifts Carr time to wipe his pussy dry.

Gruden's first year couldn’t have started off any worse. What an abomination.

Yeah, Carr was ****ing abysmal. Doesn't change the fact that Grudens abrasive coaching style is probably going to make things worse for Carr. He looked mentally shook in that 2nd half and I'd bet a good portion of that was Gruden.

GloucesterChief 09-13-2018 02:47 PM

Has Gruden had any success without inheriting a bunch of good players? He wasn't great in TB once that HoF defense started to age and retire.

suzzer99 09-13-2018 03:42 PM

Mahomes is the next Aaron Rodgers. The Raiders, Broncos and Chargers are all pretty much FUBAR for the forseable future. AND I don't have to listen to Gruden on TV anymore.

I need to go find the nearest hot girl to have sex with because I'm pretty sure I'll be waking up any minute now.

BossChief 09-13-2018 10:24 PM

Gruden is a Trojan horse working for Reid.

What the media isn’t talking about is how they had all off-season to prepare for this game. Carr was an abortion. Gruden is some “QB guru” and Carr looks the same Alex Smith in the pocket QB he’s been since 2017. Just pressure him and he’s done. What a pussy.

All off-season and they couldn’t have looked worse. Jesus, KC in their first game looked creative and good offensively.

Don’t even have to pressure him. He seems to feel phantom pressure in clean pocket these days. I think the injuries have turned him into a head case.

To be fair, a lot of teams look bad offensively, but yeah. "QB guru". Everyone spouting that bullshit didn't watch him coach Tampa.

Gruden is a good schemer but is horrible in developing QBs.

Yet he ran the "QB Camp" for several years...lol
