My defense of Peters is: "Have you watched Philip Gaines/Ken Acker/Terrance Mitchell?

Flying High D 12-06-2017 10:32 PM

No other team would want him.

If he wants to continue to throw temper tantrums on the sidelines and in the games, and make "business decisions" when its time to tackle, then he can play out his rookie deal and **** right off.

My point is is that other than tackling, the drop-off in his play is hugely exaggerated. He needs an attitude adjustment and I'm glad he was suspended. But put any of the top 30 corners in the situation with our pass rush and tell me how most CBs would do. Especially on a cb whose strength is taking advantage of qb mistakes. What qb is going to make mistakes when they have more than 5 seconds, can go through all the reads, and throws out of a clean pocket not under duress? It's a huge factor in peters' regression in play and considering he's still a very good coverage guy despite that, so I don't at all buy that he's loafing out there. In coverage he's still competitive as hell.

Honestly I don't see the suspension as a cure. This will only continue until he is a Raider

I don't by him necessarily wanting to be a raider. He may love Oakland and want to live there, but by the time he is free to leave, the Raiders will be in Las Vegas

100% false

tx4chiefs 12-07-2017 06:32 AM

At least he is still one of the few on the team that has any passion. They should be better then they are and he got pissed.

ILChief 12-07-2017 06:36 AM

People act like he murdered someone. He got pissed and acted dumb. He's being punished. Hardly worth cutting him or trading him

So where is his passion on this play? You think someone who truly has passion like Ray Lewis or Eric Berry would ever do something like this?

<blockquote class="twitter-video" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Peters had a great game with the two takeaways... but wasn’t real interested in tackling anyone. <a href="https://t.co/OFpHzLf0Gp">pic.twitter.com/OFpHzLf0Gp</a></p>&mdash; Soren Petro (@SorenPetro) <a href="https://twitter.com/SorenPetro/status/925366746214748160?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 31, 2017</a></blockquote>

Not buying the 'he is just passionate' BS. If he truly had passion a play like this would NEVER happen. Lets call it what it really is... He's an immature hothead. He has been since college which is why he got kicked off the team.

In58men 12-07-2017 06:52 AM

Better pick and choose your veterans wisely. Some of them still have a ****ing brain, like these two.

Deion Sanders is an alpha who had a huge mouth. He says what he wants and doesn’t give a ****.
Richard Sherman is an alpha who has a huge mouth. He says what he wants and doesn’t give a ****.
Marcus Peters is an alpha who has a huge mouth. He says what he wants and doesn’t give a ****.
Jalen Ramsey is an alpha who has a huge mouth. He says what he wants and doesn’t give a ****.

If you don’t like Marcus Peters, then you are too fragile of a fan to handle a real CB, because 99% of the good ones are egotistical loud mouths.

I want nothing but Marcus Peters types on my defense. You have to be a prick to play defense in this league.

Yes.

The Douche-Factor is real, and must be replicated and respected.

Marcus is not an alpha, but Berry is and keeps in check. Alpha/leaders aren't detriments to their team. Peters got kicked out of University of Washington's football program because of his character.

If Peters can't take us saying what we want, and not giving a ****, he's more of a fragile little pussy than I thought.
