Maybe but remember the last time Best played he was taken off on a stretcher and already has had a few concussions.

Best is a 1st round talent so it's worth the risk.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-11-2010 03:03 PM

Oh, I've got my guy. And I'm ****ing excited about him too. I've done a little additional homework and I'm going to cut a bitch if SNR takes him.

Absolutely the guy that I wanted.

Did he run under a 4.3? If he didn't....then you don't have to worry about the Raiders taking him.

Heh, he didn't. But SNR is no Al Davis. :D

I thought Mecca didn't like Jahvid Best. I like him just as much as Spiller as a runningback. But, I can't argue that Spiller isn't more versatile.

I wouldn't argue that.

Thoughts on the Price selection?

Sfeihc 03-11-2010 03:28 PM

Liked it. I had a short list of three; Price, McCourty and Hughes for Detroit. You made my choice easier.

The Franchise 03-11-2010 03:30 PM

I would say that Price at the top of the second round is good value. He's not Suh by any stretch of the imagination....but Clausen and Price is a good 1st/2nd round tandem.

I thought it was a pretty good pick. I'm assuming you're still looking for a wideout at some point, and I may have moved in that direction in round 2 had it been me.

But you got a guy who's biggest asset is his explosive burst to penetrate the gap, someone who uses his strength well as a bull rusher, and should play well in run defense as he's a mountain of a man and difficult to move.

Spags should be able to get him to quit lunging at the ball carrier on the line, which is definitely a weak point.

Good value, good pick.

IMO it makes up for the reach in the 1st round.

Good pick. Price was one of 3 guys I was considering with the Bengals' first round pick, and I really had it narrowed down to him and Iutapi as my decision.

He's a very disruptive 4-3 DT.
