Admittedly, I haven’t been on top of the beer game the last couple years, but I came across an oddity yesterday that I’m curious about.

Popped into Lukas in OP yesterday after work to see if anything caught my eye. I stumbled across a shelf jammed full of KBS. I grabbed a couple 4 packs. I thought the release was earlier in the year and google confirmed that the 2019 release was in March. So how the hell was there so many available here? Is it not a hard get anymore? Are they staggering releases? Somebody find some cases hidden away in back? Any thoughts?

Tons and tons of it. People don't chase the truck for it anymore either.

Its still in Springfield at several locations. I love it but the cost coupled with a bigger supply than years past is probably why its not selling out as quickly.

CBS is even out in the wild, and I used to never see it.

Say what? Where are you seeing CBS?

When I was in Wisconsin a couple of months ago I had a great beer called 'Spotted Cow'.

Just kegged a homebrewed Spotted Cow clone for a friends birthday party next month. Except I dry hopped the shit out of it because I can’t help myself. Nevertheless, I enjoy Spotted Cow whenever I’m north of the wall.

Not gonna lie.

The best beer I’ve ever had came from Marcellus.

I’ll never forget it. Outstanding.

We do mostly wine tasting out here, but we've done a few beer tastings as well. I introduced Boulevard Tub No 9 to some Left Coasters and it was a big hit!

One of my favorites is Brother Thelonious, a Belgian style dark. Nice complexity, though a bit more on the sweet side, which I know turns some people off. Spiciness to it as well that pairs well with Fall themed foods.

I've seen it in Phoenix... don't remember for sure, either BevMo or Total Wine... and there was a craft beer bar selling it a while back.

Also saw it at Bubbles in KC ~6 weeks ago.

I didn't make it. Considered changing plans around, but I did a bit of research and it didn't seem like they had the same amount of world-class stouts and porters as last year.

I'll have to remember the presale for next year though (and the VIP, since it was such a cluster**** without it last year)... once we were in last year, it was great. A lot of people, but so many booths, food, games, etc; the lines were fairly short and there's a huge selection.

I thought I remembered you being there last year or a similar indoor event. :hmmm:
