I know. I seem to have taken a week or two off of my diet. It starts again Monday. Workouts start tomorrow. I doubt I'll be where I wanted to be before September, but I'm going to try to come close.

Not that anyone here would go see it, but No Reservations wasn't as great as I thought it would be. There were parts that you thought would become more of a subplot that never developed into anything. It definitely focused more on the romance aspect of it. Not that that's bad, but there just could have been, and should have been, more to it.

OK, I got the 10pm thread fantasy league started, for the regulars (or even semi-regulars) that want to play, I need 11 of you to PM with an interest. I'll send you the site, league name and password.....

Our draft will be Aug 7th at 10pm. A bit early? So what, we can always join other leagues if we really want to.

Well, if you're interested... "The Stand" is a damned good place to start. Long read, but it's worth it.

Any of his old classics are excellent, "The Shining", "Carrie", etc... seeing the movie doesn't count.

I especially love "The Long Walk".

I'm not as big a fan of his more recent stuff.

I have a few things lined up that Im getting ready to read, but I'll definitely add it to the list.

Will it scare me? For some reason, I hate horror movies, but I love to read books that scare the shit out of me. I'm weird like that.

luv 07-30-2007 09:05 PM

BTW, I'm still looking for someone to occupy the seat next to mine for the preseason Saints game. If I don't find someone by 8/9, I will be forced to let my dad sell both tickets to Guru. I really want to go, but I don't want to go alone. I did finally find a taker for the Dolphins game, thank goodness.

Section 122, Row 15....all I'm asking is that we meet up before going in, so that we can split parking (half would be $11).

Shoot me a PM if you're interested. Especially if you're someone I've already PM'd!

PinkFloyd 07-30-2007 09:14 PM

I'm already in 14 FFL's... Only set me back about $1,200.00... But; I usually end up winning about 3-4 thousand... Not a bad return...

Mr. Plow 07-30-2007 09:15 PM

I used to do tons of leagues. I decided to just do my own keeper league.

PinkFloyd 07-30-2007 09:18 PM

I'm in 5 in Kansas, 3 in Iowa and 6 in Missouri...

Mr. Plow 07-30-2007 09:25 PM

The one thing I could never get a hold of was rooting for and against the same players. It never really mattered though because they were all free. I've been doing this keeper league for 3 years and we play for money....not as much as you do, but still some. I'm really thinking about setting up a dynasty league next year.
