How's everyone else doing?

I used to live just five minutes from there, the wife and I splurged on a weekend "get away" to try it out.

Yes it is huge, and lots of things to do there..... Enjoy your stay

Sometimes just getting away from the house for a night can be a relaxing, enjoyable evening.

Trip was alright. Very quick. Left Tuesday at about 12:30p. Worked all day Wednesday. Left today at about 11am. Kids did surprisingly well for a 6 hour car ride. We were scared over last year. Drove out to Denver (8 hours) and the kids literally screamed bloody murder for 7 1/2 of it - both ways.

Here's what I don't understand.

I love stand up comedy. But I hate some of the audiences because they don't laugh at certain jokes they find entertaining -- they go "woo" or they applaud.

Who applauds a joke? Why the hell would you clap your hands after a funny joke? LAUGH. Clapping has nothing to do with comedy, and it always slows down the rhythm of the routine.

And what kind of 14-year-old child "woo"s at a standup routine? It didn't bother me until I watched some Dane Cook clips tonight on YouTube, and half the crowd just woos instead of laughs.

Laughing should be the only kind of feedback allowed in a comedy show.

Instead of random picutre time, you chose the less often used random post time instead. Risky, yet entertaining.

By the way, Kramer was out of the room for exactly 46 seconds.

Which means he walked into his apartment, whacked off, searched and grabbed his money, and came back in well under a minute.

crazycoffey 07-27-2007 03:11 AM

What I've never shared is that for the last four years I have been working on my acting skills....
In Texas they list these and all movie roles on the governor's site, under the film commision. It's alittle different here(in MO), and in a few different places.

Anyway, I've had several non-speaking extra roles in a few commercials, independent movies and even a feature film with Matt Perry and Elizabeth Hurley (she's a doll BTW) which filmed alot at DFW airport (serving Sarah).

Anyway, my big news, I just got my first speaking role, non-paid, but the director is pretty well known in the Indie circuit and submits his films to festivals all over the states.

here's the site.
