That fight over the ball happened in the 2nd half, if I recall correctly.

Was a one point game when that happened and they ended up winning by 12 or so

Yeah, but we had outscored them by 15 points leading up to that in order to get the 1 point lead. Context.

Shaq Moore, except for his apparent unwillingness to play through injury, is a prototypical Bill Self guard. Just changes our team when he is in.

All of that comeback was mostly in the first half (we tied it and were down by 2 going into half). In the preceding 8 minutes of the 2nd half before the double technical, it remained a close game (47-46). It ceased being so after that and ended 74-61. Greater context.

He hit two absolute dagger threes late in the 2nd half yesterday, once which quieted the crowd after TCU had just hit a three to pull the game close. Basically nobody on this team has been able to hit those shots all year. Just huge for spacing and allows for Dickinson's passing ability to flourish (which this team has never been able to use to its advantage in his two seasons here).

Self will reduce his minutes soon when KJ returns though.

I'll take the 38.5% clip from him all day. For perspective, that's better than every person on last year's team not named Jankovic - who by the way hit a grand total of five threes in walk-on land.

How can Self ignore what Flory did on the floor. Who helps KU win more games, Flory or KJ? It's obvious to anyone Flory helps this team win better than KJ. So whyt cant Self see this fact?

Flory is taller, a better shot blocker, rebounds, and can actually finish around the basket.

KJ is more important though.

You know this.

I'm sure he can (and I'm sure the analytics guy they hire to send them info will indicate Flory's impact very clearly), but he's incredibly stubborn and beyond the point of having to prove anything to anybody in his career. I bet he will stick to his guns on this to the team's demise.

I will say that the fact that he did end up playing Remy Martin at the end in 2022 despite clearly hating everything about him/his style of play leaves open some room for hope though.

Remy's injury issues had more to do with him riding the pine I think. Once Remy was healthy, he got more and more playing time.

They did, but Im not so sure last years UH team was better than this years, or rather what this year's team can become. KU caught Houston at a bad time last year as
that UH team was all banged up when they played at KU. This year's team is almost at full strength, except for Emanual Sharpe, who is their leader. The good thing for UH is he'll be back this season, unlike the guys they lost last year. KU is missing a key player also, so its a wash. In any case, UH can afford to drop a game. But IF they manage to win, it would be quite an accomplishment. Both teams are good and KU would be wise to feed Dickenson and play this one from the inside out. UH cant really match up with him and will get into foul trouble. UH must hit their 3's in order to have a chance. I can tell you that UH knows what they're in for and they respect KU.

Have the mighty really fallen THAT far? I think they'll be better than that come March. Marquette and St. Johns seem to have closed the gap this year though.
