I just think he's a little too limited to be an X type that should put him on too many teams 2nd day board. And if a guy's only on 4-5 day 2 draft boards, it doesn't take much for that slide to start and he ends up in Day 3. We'd need to trade into the 5th but that should be pretty doable. |

So keep on moving, Patrick Peterson. |
I think it’s safe to say the chiefs cap space isn’t good right now. They haven’t officially announced Reid signing yet.

I just can't get over how little he actually produced at the FCS level. He just gets knocked off his route so easily. He looks like an underwear warrior to me. He really seems to lacking in functional football strength. There are options likely to go in the 3rd that I FAR prefer to Watson. |

The fact that Landry and Robinson both haven’t signed yet with anyone could potentially mean they are waiting for the Chiefs to free up salary cap room to sign one of them?
Maybe? Possibly? I know Landry was visiting Atlanta this week, but it has been very quiet with Robinson. |

Deshaun Watson recalls being Falcons ball boy, receiving $1K tip from Asante Samuel Watson will get to face the team that started it all for his football career Shanna McCarriston By Shanna McCarriston Oct 3, 2019 at 1:37 pm ET 2 min read Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson will play his original NFL team for the first time in his career. No, he never played with the Atlanta Falcons, but in high school he had a job as the ball boy with his hometown team. Watson will now face players that he watched years ago on the sidelines in Atlanta. Being a ball boy quite literally paid off for Watson, who recalled the story of cornerback Asante Samuel giving him a $1,000 tip. The pro-bowler forgot his mouthpiece in the locker room and asked the then-high schooler to get it for him, and was rather generous when Watson came back with it. "So I went to his locker after practice, and he pulled out his Louis [Vuitton] bag and pulled out a whole stack of money, and he gave me like $1,000, just to go get his mouthpiece," Watson told ESPN. The 24-year-old got to do much more than retrieve mouthpieces with the Falcons. He would frequently play catch with wide receiver Julio Jones and toss the pigskin around with quarterback Matt Ryan. Not bad people to practice with when you're in high school. Watson will no doubt be feeling nostalgic when he sees some of his old "co-workers" run onto the field. He said it will be somewhat of a reunion and that he is excited to see players who have known him since before he got a starting quarterback gig. |

"It's going to be a neat experience. A lot of people in that organization are still in that organization that I will get to see Sunday kind of watched me grow up, go through high school, through college. People that I threw to, like of course Julio (Jones) and watched how he improved over the years and me looking up to those guys." Ryan remembers Watson in his younger years, and says it has been great watching him grow. "It feels like yesterday he was here launching balls to our wide receivers here in training camp. He'd always be down at the Dome on Sundays after games, before games, helping out," he said. The former MVP complimented his Week 5 opponent, adding that "he's a great player and a great competitor and he's had a great career so far." Watson may have grown up rooting for, and working with, the Falcons, but his eyes will be on taking home another win for the currently 2-2 Texans come Sunday. |
I'm predicting that Watson goes to Falcons...Falcons sign Allen Robinson...Julio goes back to ATL on a team friendly deal.

If Matty Ice is traded before June 1st ATL will have $55.5M in dead money and almost $19M in Cap hit for 2022. If they wait till June 1st the dead money is only $28M and ATL actually gains almost $9M in cap space. Real question is what will Colts give up to get him hahaha |

Need to bank on some more excellent drafts the next two years. No more trading of high draft picks for veterans who also need large contracts. No more runningbacks in the 1st round. Need premium talent early in the draft and hopefully a few hidden gems here or there late in the draft or UDFA. I think KC will make the playoffs, either as the division champion or as a wildcard. I wouldn't put money on them hosting the AFCCG again or even making it there, but anything can happen in the playoffs. That's fine, as long as they make some smart personnel moves over the next couple of years and retool for another run. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the moves Veach has made and his overall team building philosophy, but I'm optimistic he can continue to improve and learn from his mistakes. I'll be interested to see where we go with the draft this year. Last year was amazing, although one minor complaint is that all of our biggest picks were at positions that IMO aren't quite as important as areas like defensive end, cornerback, and wide receiver. Need to follow up last year's excellent draft with stocking the defensive line and some skill position players on either side of the ball. Follow up the 2021 draft with another top notch draft and we're in a good position for the long haul. |
