The #Dolphins are signing QB Jay Cutler to a 1-year contract worth $10M, source said. There are incentives in there, too.

Solid move for the Dolphins. They aren't winning anything this year, with the options available to them, anyways.

FO appears to have tried, and they haven't committed anything that will give them difficulty when Tannehill returns.

That sounds like he's on the better end of the spectrum.

It would sure be nice if he came back as the old Justin Houston.

I think they will stand just as much of a chance to win with Cutler...Cutler and Tannehill have had seasons where their stats are very similar...Tannehill slightly better...slightly.

I've watched a ton of Bears games and do every year because a ton of my friends/family are Bears fans and that guy has been running for his life a quarter-second after the snap terribly since 2010. And last year, I saw some of the worst displays of WR droppage with him and Barkley...Cutler has had to deal with some understandable frustration with that Bears team these past few years. Either running for his life, having perfect strikes dropped or both.

When I've watched Miami, they never seemed to have these issues...not to the extent of the Bears anyways.

The Dolphins season will be interesting this year.

In all honesty, I never cared to watch the Bears, but it will be most likely a down year for them since Cutler is getting a late start to learning the offense.

With NE in their division, they don't have the luxury to spend game time getting Cutler up to speed.

Out of curiosity: would you say Cutler's demise was a result of his oline and receivers?

It could make an interesting race for a wildcard if he catches on sooner, rather than later.

To me it came off as a combination of both. He didn't seem to have much respect from a lot of his teammates...leadership questions about him come off as being very, very true. However, the dude, for years has been running for his life right after the ball is snapped and when Alshon Jeffery was out, his receivers were absolutely atrocious. Didn't help much that Kevin White has been so injury prone.

This will be, by far, the most talented offense that Cutler's ever had in the NFL.

It's the same playbook that he ran in two years while Gase was in Chicago, which is why Cutler is such a good fit.

Cutler's used to playing in cold weather games late in the season so the Christmas Eve game with the Dolphins at Arrowhead may have just become a little more interesting.

Or not.

Mama hasn't received any attention from camp reports. He's also buried on the depth chart. I do hope we keep him around on the practice squad. He's too powerful and big to not one day be a good guard if he sets his mind to it

People say Pat holds the ball too long. Bad because he's more prone to sacks but good is that it allows his receivers to get deep downfield

It's just so odd.

When a player is recovering from injury they're generally at least out on the field. Kelce, Jones, Ehinger....they've all been out there working. Has Tamba taken the field at all? Maybe i missed it.

Same exact thing can be said for Aaron Rodgers. He holds the ball for a long time usually. It doesn't matter much though, because his ability to escape the pocket and dice up defenses on the run slows down a pass rush.

That's what we are hoping for with Mahomes.

There's a difference between holding it too long and extending a broken play.

If you're referring to TC, well....some of these snaps Mahomes is is getting 5-6 seconds to throw the ball, which obviously is unrealistic.

IIRC, that offseason's surgery was more serious. And Tamba has already been out there with the team during OTA's this offseason.

It's just odd. Things don't add up here.

Good enough to go during OTA's, declares himself ready to go, and then all of sudden he's not healthy enough to even work in the tents for the first two weeks of camp after a vicious tweet storm?
