Some of the expensive 2020 reserve stuff |
Kilkerran 8 year cask strength now. So freakin' good. Love that Campbeltown funk!
|
Never had the 8 but have had the 12.
I have been a Springbank fan for years |

I don't like buying the $70+ fifths but this is my second, tomorrow my third and fourth. I have to drive to Sedona to get it. Quote:

Buffalo Trace is 2.5 hours from me and 2.5 hours east of Evanston, IL. (2.5 SW on me)
I am in AZ for the rest of the winter. I never see Blanton's where I live but in Indianapolis Payless and 21st Amendment, who help get my Blvd into IN, may have some treats for me when I come back home. Quote:

What is highly desirable and what is a killer price? |
For 2020 Regular I’ve only had Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace. Both great but no noticeable distinction that I could pick up. Feel anything lower than $12.99 is a deal. Seen some for $9.99
Kentucky Fog was a miss imo but I don’t appreciate tea so YMMV #4 was tasty but nothing I’d go nuts for I bought a whole set so not sure what MSRP is individually |

Growing stuff in Phoenix is weird and fun. Roses from the yard, cut on Christmas day.

Had to pick myself up a little gift at hyvee today. At 30 bucks it was too good to pass up. I'll be having some old fashioneds after dinner tonight.

That syrup and bitters are both pretty good. A pretty nice little gift pack I'll look out for next year as well.

At the price of Hella's shit that was a deal. The syrup was not to be found on their website

Yesterday while putting together my new TV stand, I busted out the Tito's and Simply Peach to calm my nerves before the project. LOL
First one was too strong as I expected the peach to be sweeter and heavier but it was actually the best peach juice I've ever tasted. Not syrupy or over sweet. I had to keep adding juice to the first one to lighten up. 2nd one perfect: 1/4 vodka to 3/4 peach. Two did the job while I finished my stand. |
Waste of Tito's
Just saying I drink the same concoction, yet a little stronger. Quote:

For NYE, I tried the Brown Sugar Bourbon and found it to be quite tasty for a low cost bourbon. It's likely going to be the replacement for the Captain Morgan as I really found it to be quite similar, but a bit smoother.

Tito's is worth the 100% increase in price over Pinnacle.

Had some Kentucky Mules last night using this stuff. Most of the time when they say spicy they're full of shit. This one isn't. Wood reccomend.

Something great for a celebration tomorrow and something not so good but ok as a mixer. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e2dd649271.jpg

Top shelf vodka and soda while watching highlights and hype videos all night. Can’t be hung over tomorrow so have to stick to clear liquor so I don’t get out of hand.
|
Jim Beam Honey. I add a little regular Jim Bean to it to reduce the sweetness just a touch, it's just how I like it...
|
I can't find Stedman's anywhere.
I did find EZRA for $19 so I'm good for bourbon and Cokes but I'd like to stock up on Stedman's again at $14 for a 1.75 |
Going to be popping this at the end of the game for our victory celebration.

Drinking local today. Starting with The Way Back In, a double NEIPA from Alma Mader.
Tasting notes from their website: The Way Back In focuses strictly on New Zealand hops, in particular Nelson Sauvin and Moutere. Big tropical notes of passionfruit, gooseberry, and a touch of pine hit the palate right out of the gates. Incredibly unique hop characteristics that leave us wondering why New Zealand is so good at things right now. 8.0% abv Tasting notes: passionfruit, gooseberry, pine |
