Not necessarily. If Clark hires a veteran coach and he convinces him nobody is worth that pick but he can get a veteran QB for a stop gap and draft one next season.....

The board hasn't been all in on a QB ever, IIRC. Only time it's gotten close is when it's sure we can't draft him.

I think the QBs in this draft are better than 2011. Ponder and locker are nothing special and gabbert is awful. Newton and dalton are the only ones that are that good

Board would have freaked had DJ not been the selection. I lurked then, and the evolution of the board, for better or worse, with respect to QBs has been interesting.

FOX affiliate in Philly is saying Reid could be hired by the Chiefs by MIDNIGHT.

Danny Parkins is trying to get him on the show tomorrow.

I would think he would at least visit a team and see if they actually fit before trying to drive up the price

Shefter just said that after meeting with the Chiefs all day that he flew to AZ tonight. You just don't know who is right.

No, I'm not. This isn't 2005 with the Eagles coming off four NFC championship games and a Super Bowl loss. They've won the division twice in eight years, lost seven or more games five times. I don't see anything in that that gives me a great deal of optimism or hope. That's just mediocre football. And now he's been handed literally everything he could possibly want for two years and the team's gotten markedly worse. I think the game's passed him by.

And just in a general sense I'd rather go any direction other than a retread coach.

But if it does end up being him, I hope it works out, of course.
