The bots loaded up during the Royals game yesterday. It was almost impossible to post during the game.

Guest access has been off for a while now. The issue is that this isn't far off from a DDOS attack - even a bot that gets a login page takes up server resources when it's at a scale of thousands of hits per minute.

As far as I know, we basically self-firewall, so there's nothing outside our box to keep the bots from hitting us even if they're ultimately denied.

I'm installing some extra bot blocking software now but it will take some tweaking.

Going forward, I hereby commit to deleting cookies and defragging my drives every time before I log into CP.
