Damn man I wanna know how this happens at practice without contact. Hopefully he's alright.

Vegas is going to feast on the wagers made in reaction to this.

TwistedChief 09-06-2023 06:50 AM

For people who didn't listen to the Jason Kelce spot, he ends it by saying that they're gonna wait to see how bruised the bone is when the swelling is down, but "I think he's gonna be good to go. I really do." Obviously he's not a doctor and has little clue, but at least we can gauge that Travis himself doesn't see this as anything that's going to be a major more medium term impediment this season.

About as good as the news could be thus far.

If Kelce doesn't go, Noah Gray will get over 75 yards and a TD.

There's nothing wrong with Gray other than he's TE2 on a team that has Travis Kelce on it.

Sounds like a pain management type injury, which is great, but I really hope the staff exercises caution against the player's desire to play. This isn't Mahomes in the 2nd half of a playoff game. Let's ensure Kelce is healthy in January.

Yup, I would be shocked if Kelce plays. It's absolutely not the team's MO to rush guys out there in these situations and certainly not someone as important (and old) as Kelce.

I wonder if Jason meant “good to go” for Thursday or just more generally in the long term..

Same. Knees are finicky joints and I sure as heck wouldn't want to see the Chiefs rush Kelce back out on the field. Team needs him around for the season.

I will ask him on Facebook bud, normally people don't really respond or I have the wrong person (often.)

If I hear back, I will PM you.

nychief 09-06-2023 07:12 AM

Sit him, season is too long and Kelce is too important. Noah has to step up.

BleedingRed 09-06-2023 07:16 AM

Play him more snaps

Not Jody Fortson, though!

Brilliant move.

Another TE steps up, dominates for 4-5 games, we flip him for picks when the GOAT returns.
