I’ll actually answer your question.

The 49er barely touched Brees, who is far less mobile than Mahomes. The Chiefs and Saints OL’s are the 3rd and 4th best pass protection OLs in the league. Almost identical Adjusted Sack Rates. Both only allowed 25 sacks on the year.

I wouldn’t expect Mahomes to have it quite as easy as Brees did. That isn’t realistic.

I’m guessing the 49ers manage 2 sacks on Mahomes.

He's still learning on the job. I believe PAT has more starts the Jimmy. He's done a fine job in his first full season.

I've never said Jimmy was Captain Checkdown.

As a matter of fact, I think Jimmy this year has been better than what his stat line suggests. However, if there's a glaring weakness to his game this season, it's his decision-making under pressure. His numbers are dramatically worse when chased or with pressure in his face.

We'll see if that becomes a factor.

Bottom line though, Jimmy gives away a ball every game statistically. Actually slightly worse than that. 1.1? 1.2?
