If there was ever a team that looks like it is righting the ship only to hit an iceberg, it's the Raiders.

That must make Devante so happy he signed with them.

In 1978 the Chiefs (coached by Marv Levy) passed the ball 14 times and ran it 69 times in a win against the Bengals. PBJPBJPBJ

Edit: My bad- they passed the ball 20 times with 14 completions.

I am not sure the exact numbers, but when we lost to Tim Tebow, he completed a very low amount of passes.

Honestly I don’t think Adams cares too much. I mean I don’t think he is numb to losing, but he is making a ton of money. Also he is playing with his college QB and good friend. Plus he is no longer in frozen GB playing with a QB who is a jerk and could retire at any moment.

How do you go out on a nationwide TV broadcast and lose to a QB who had less than 48 hours to skim through a playbook? LMAO :)

Remember when the Raiders lost to a guy who a week prior was a TV analyst and had zero coaching experience? Good times. Also would explain why they lost to Baker.

RaidersOftheCellar 12-09-2022 10:20 AM

I don’t know what their odds would be of making the playoffs at 9-8, but they still have a decent chance of being 8-8 when they face the Chiefs.

don't see it. Carr's record vs. NE is 0-3.

Carr is terrible when constantly pressured. SF can pressure with the best of them. Carr's last meeting with SF in 2018 he lost, threw for less than 172 yards, completed just 16 passes, no TDs, and was sacked 7 times.

Raiders have no choice but to move on from him at this point. They should have traded him after 2016 while his stock was high

ROFL

RunKC 12-09-2022 02:49 PM

Josh McDaniels lost Jeff Saturday who had zero experience in any level of coaching at the college or NFL level in his first week as a coach.

He’s absolutely terrible. And the Raiders can’t get rid of him.

Broncos are stuck with Russ and the Raiders are stuck with McDaniels. Beautiful

BryanBusby 12-09-2022 03:17 PM

And realistically, the Chargers are too cheap to send an entire staff home to do nothing.

Chargers has some real talent, but their financial constraints really limit them. If they are serious about winning they go get Sean Peyton and tell him to blow up and rebuild the entire organization. That's basically what Clark did with Reid. I mean Andy brought so many people with him to KC. From turf to equipment. And the Chargers really need new trainers and medical staff. I mean what an embarrassment,

Two, if my memory serves me correctly.

We lost to a team whose QB completed a grand total of two ****ing passes that game. Wether or not we as a fan base deserve Mahomes is at times a subject of debate but, what isn’t debatable is that we sure as **** earned him.

I don’t see how Davis can keep him. McDaniels should have been fired this morning. Appoint an interim from the current staff at least.

But they just signed his best friend, Adams, to a massive long term contract. Adams main reason to sign was to reconnect with Carr. I don't think that would go over well at all. The Raiders are pretty much stuck with Carr. LMAO

Maybe but if you listen to Adams carefully, he talks more of growing up a Raiders fan more than he talks of Derek. Professional athletes understand that friends come and go to different teams.

Carrs contract was extended last year that gave this administration an out this year if they want to cut ties without taking too much of a cap hit. They take a small cap hit cutting him after this season vs having to pay him next year close to $40 million. I believe it was a tryout year for Carr and he is failing. The only scenario I see Carr staying is if that creepy looking Davis over rides Ziegler and insists they keep Carr around.

He gets coach of the year for being the first to move on from Carr.

If the Raiders aren't looking much better by seasons end next year, likely time to move on again. This next draft will define Josh and Ziegler.

Yep. It all comes down to drafting and development and the Raiders have failed at this for so long. Zig seems like a smart dude but time will tell. I think Josh and Zig will stick around at least 2 more years to see how the team is trending.

backinblack 01-09-2023 12:05 AM

if I had any faith in Mark I hope he lights some fires under some asses to start building a good team. He says he's ashamed of our stadium being red two weeks in a row, well time to ****ing do something about it.

the stadium may always have a sizable share of visiting fans, but putting a good Raiders product on the field will go a long way to have just as much black in the stands. The Raiders fans are out there, we still take over LA and show up to just about every other road game from Carolina to Seattle.

frozenchief 01-09-2023 07:23 PM

Just read that KC has scored >28 points against the Raiders in 10 straight games. That's tied for the longest such streak between any two teams in league history. And when I say league, I mean it applies to any match up at any time since the founding of the NFL.

I mentioned that it's tied. When did it last happen? The Rams did it 10 straight times against the Packers between 1949 and 1953. Put another way, it's been > 70 years since the NFL has seen such one-sided domination.

Don't know if it will translate into anymore Ws, but Stidham could actually become a decent starting QB. He has some tools. In particular, he's pretty steady; doesn't seem to get flustered the way Carr would all the time. Also, can he grow properly under McD's tutelage? Personally I doubt it, but I'm pretty biased against McD.

I'd say our recent domination of the Broncos is far more embarrassing.

Yeah, I agree. Give the guy a full training camp with the starters. He would be a better option for potential then any journey man QB and no Rookie is going to light it up. Just build the trenches

Last game versus the Chiefs Jones was all up in Stidham's face like a mad man meanwhile Crosby is apologizing to Mahomes for a slight ruffing the passer. Not a good look.

Stidham will be the starter unless a certain QB falls to #7. They may bring a journey man to compete but Stidham knows the system. Z was even praising Stidham for what he showed in his only 2 career starts.

Well they already brought in Stidham. Why not Jones or Garoppolo?

Heck they might need a 3rd stringer so might as well bring in Hoyer.

Jimmy G is a decent bridge option providing we draft a QB this year. He shouldn't cost that much.

If he has to play behind the level of OL we had last year though, he'll be hurt about 5 plays into the 2023 season.

You’ve got some really good pieces, don’t think Grapes is the one to make it all work though.

This is what will happen:

Jimmy G will play

Raiders will win 7-8 games

Raiders draft DT with the 15th pick.

I don't know why Raiders fans are always so optimistic every year.

Oh that's right, they aren't very smart.

Optimistic?

I am praying for 0-17 so we can draft Caleb Williams and shed McDoofus.

I have no optimism.

No. The bad thing would be he passes the physical, plays 2 games and is broken again. Because - history and shit.

LMAO

And just a year ago you were thinking about winning the West!

All it took was dumping Carr to send you spiraling into depression.

If it makes you feel any better you'll be tied for 1st place the beginning of week one.

But then promptly tied for last week 2

I expected a wild card berth in 2022.

I never expected to win the West. But 11-6 was a reasonable hope.

But this current management has no clue at all. They signed players to extensions and cut them loose a year later for no return or pennies on the dollar.

Now the planned QB is Hopalong Cassidy. And their backup plan is hoping a washed Brady decides to return.

Why shouldn't I be depressed? The team has become Patriots West (Great Value Edition) and the owner has no clue at all.

Meanwhile, the best team in football with the best coach, QB, and GM reside in the division.

I will make some t-shirts. ROFL

Great Value Patriots LMAO

That's ****ing brilliant. Surprised that never made an appearance here during the Pioli era.

This place was too busy pumping it's cock over the 2012 offseason, of course.

Oh, you confuse realism and the knowledge that we are going to suck with optimism.

Why do you need Williams? Your HC is on record stating that he could turn any QB into an All Pro. Trade for someone like Trubisky or Malik Willis. Then only the Broncos would have a non elite QB in the division.

Rasputin 05-30-2023 11:23 PM

Chiefs are undefeated in 2023, the Raiders haven't even won a game this year. They suck.

In their defense though they have yet to play Denver in 2023. That's starting to become as much of a sure thing win for them that it is for KC.

Because when McBugel gets the axe, we'll, hopefully, have a QB.

Josh McDaniels made Carr's wife cry. LMAO

Quote:

Carr landed on his feet with the New Orleans Saints, but admitted recently that he was miffed with how his Raiders career ended.

"I was, for lack of a better term, I was very upset; I was mad," Carr said, via the Fresno Bee. "You spend nine years in a place, you have all the records and you can play at a high level and for something to get in the way, whether it was whatever reason, money related or whatever, injury related, I would have said I don't even want the money, just to play two more times in front of our fans. I didn't get that opportunity. So, it definitely lit a fire inside me to keep going."

Carr was asked if he would have let bygones be bygones if the Raiders had changed their mind and wanted to keep him moving forward. He answered no, because the whole situation made his wife cry.

"Once they made my wife cry, that was pretty much over," Carr said. "Once they made her cry, that was out.
But the love for my teammates is what probably would have made me do it. But the way it worked out and the timing of things, I was just ... it was time for me to move on. But who knows? You never know what will happen."

By wife he meant himself.

AdolfOliverBush 06-27-2023 11:55 AM

He cried with her, and they both ruined their mascara.

Eureka 06-27-2023 12:04 PM

His wife cried because he was benched?

Doubt it. But someone had to take the fall when the kids asked why there was a tear soaked trail of mascara leading to the bathroom.

New World Order 06-27-2023 12:20 PM

Carr should shut the hell up. Had elite weapons all around him and managed to win 3 games last year.

Putrid
