Geno love hit its zenith earlier in the year when we were watching him drop beautiful deep ball after beautiful deep ball in the bucket while our QBs were inaccurately checking down.

Who is Howard Foreskin?

Howard Eskin@howardeskin
Andy Reid meeting w KC Chiefs 2day in PHL lasted close to 9 hours and never made it to Arizona.I Was there and looked like meeting went well |

If you like him as a prospect so much, post in there, that's what it's made for. You always come in the Geno thread and spew shit about Wilson, when there is a thread dedicated to that. And the Chiefs haven't drafted a QB in 30 years, I'd imagine a large part of the fanbase would be excited at the fact that the top QB prospect coming out in the year their team has the first overall pick and no QB. |

Would love to wake up and have him be the new HC. |

It's weird cause I've seen RunKc get excited about Geno, then turn around and knock him like a man possessed.
|
Smith has had some suspect games. There is no getting around this. However, what I really like about him as a prospect is his mobility/awareness in the pocket and his toughness in the face of the rush.
These qualities in him are elite. Doesn't mean that he's perfect--example: sack and strip in the endzone in the bowl game--but he's still outstanding. |

You can't post in a Tyler Wilson thread because people like Geno Smith? Are you functionally reeruned? |
Ah thats good. I was under the assumption Reid went to Arizona tonight.

Just because he isn't Luck, doesn't mean he isn't a great prospect. |

He's going to have shitty weather games and I'm not going to give him a pass in those here either. |
So are the Chiefs meeting with Reid again tomorrow?

Why would Reid go with Barkley? He likes his QB's somewhat mobile, that ain't Barkley.

Look, I'm not all in on Geno. I like Tyler Wilson a lot too. But the polarized nature of this argument is just maddening. And stupid. He's either a god on earth or a 4th round pick. |

What? Who would you prefer we went after?

Whoever Reid decides is the franchise guy is just ****ing fine in my book. I don't care if he drafts Nasim at #1. Seriously. I trust the guy to make the right call.

Liking a Qb on CP, that isn't another guys favorite is like mortal sin. I like Geno, I like WIlson, hell I even like Bray. |
Reid would be a great hire. I hope he leaves AZ w/o a contract. If Barkley is who our next HC selects then get ready for another dink and dunk offense.
No ****ing arm strength. |
I think he was scheduled to fly tonight and thats why they stopped at 7

I would say that the Geno love is pretty epic. I think you have to realize that part of this is us having a race for the #1 pick during all of this. Knowing change is coming to HC and GM(in some capacity). It's hard for some not to be excited about the potential. I think in reality, people are not claiming him to be the lock that Luck was. Just making the point that his potential is worth the risk. |

And I'll call Reid a mother****ing dumbass if he does something that stupid. |

So far tonight I've read that his defense is the reason his 2nd half might have been spotty and the weather in the bowl game. I just can't get behind that. The weather is an excuse. I don't care what the other QB did, or didn't do. He's going to play in Denver in December here, and about 4 games from November-December every year in frigid weather that could be unfavorable. He has to handle the elements. This isn't a dome QB, this is a guy who played in West Virginia for 4 years. |

He was definitely scheduled to fly tonight and meet with them in the morning.

I'm just excited as hell that we are in a position to draft a QB, in a spot where there are going to be 2 QB's available that immediately upgrade the position, and could become something more.
It's an exciting time in KC to be a Chiefs fan. |

196 of 260 (75.4%) for 2274 yards (11.6 yards per reception) with 25 TDs and 0 INTS. Geno's stats in his last six games: 149 of 222 (67.1%) for 1584 (10.6 yard per reception) with 16 TDs and 4 INTs. Sure. There's a little downturn in the second half, but it's hardly bad. And arguably the second six games were against a little better teams (5 teams who played in bowl games) than the first six games (3 teams who played in bowl games). |

Again, I like all 3 of the guys. |

I like Tyler Wilson too just his concussions scare me. But there's aspects of geno i like like his game of chess he plays with DCs and his audibles and constantly thinking. I like his accuracy and strenght on his throws. And the weather was partly a factor and he wont have many of those here
|
God, the speculation here reminds me of the PM days.
|
I don't know why it's such a big deal if guys are high on Geno. Their favorite team is pretty much guaranteed to take a QB first overall.
Thats exciting. |

I really just think it was a perfect storm. You had people who liked Geno knowing some would judge him on that game and they were ready to defend him with their life before the game even started. I know there are some that feel they have seen issues outside of the bowl game and that's fine, but the entire situation happened out of fear that people would judge him on that game alone. The game counted and the results really happened. I don't think its an argument that the weather cancels it out. I think the argument really is that while the weather counts, you should realize you can't judge his potential upside on that game alone. |
Glennon and Wilson have very high upsides. Wilson just needs to fix his sloppy footwork.

Hell, I'll take Landry Jones too. I don't think he's near as bad as some on here think.
|
All the revisionist history with former 1st round QBs is getting asburd.
I don't even want to IMAGINE the backlash on this board if drafturbators were pimping a black running athlete QB who had one 3,000-yard passing season in college as the #1 pick. And yet... |

Glennon has a hitch in his throwing motion and his accuracy is questionable, along with his mental leadership. He was shit against Virginia this year, a team that was awful.
I don't think his upside is near what Bray's is. |
