And as background info for you n00bs, this type of thread isn't new. The original group of all-nighters was dubbed "The Night Crew".

Back in the days when the Planet only had a thousand or so posts a day, the day guys would start football related discussion and expect to come back the next morning to carry on with those discussions, only to find the Night Crew would have hijacked the best ones and turned them into poop threads, etc.

Ah, those were the days. Or so I hear. That s**t was pre-me.

I can tolerate shots of Jose Cuervo, but not enough to try again. Cuervo doesn't go down smoothly. I say stick with whiskey or vodka if you go the liquor route.

The good thing about a night crew thread is that it keeps moving. With the decreased post volume it dies off if the posts are spread around.

Thread hijackings were still common when I joined, but they started to taper off during the last off-season and now they're non-existant. Threads don't seem to hang on the first page for very long anymore either so it's not like hijacking one would even matter anyway.

He was the first to 50,000 and that happened not very long after I got here more than 3 years ago, if that tells you the rate he was going at in the early years.

This place has changed quite a bit, but it's still the only place on the web that can go from 0 to f**king stupid and back to crybaby in 2.4 seconds flat.
