There always has to be drama with this team LMAO

Hammock Parties 09-30-2024 06:50 PM

It sounds to me like they're trying to figure out if he can come back for the playoffs.

Can you recover from a severe knee sprain in 3 months?

The MRI woulda shown ACL tear.

So it isn't that.

TheGuardian 09-30-2024 06:55 PM

Unless the initial diagnoses is that everything is torn and it's career ending type shit.

RunKC 09-30-2024 06:56 PM

I see that as nothing but an absolute win. It seemed by all accounts yesterday that it was 100% an ACL tear and now it’s not even confirmed.

If it was as cut and dry as we thought it would have been confirmed hours ago. Shit the kid might get lucky.

VUVUZUELA SAY NO TEAR

GloryDayz 09-30-2024 06:57 PM

From "tomorrow" to "next week", not very surprising. That said, the team needs to move forward as if he's out for the season and start working a long term strategy, not a gap plan.

This sucks...

That’s not it. Andy saying “he’s for sure out this week” seems to indicate they don’t know how long it’ll be and if it was devastating, that’d always be a season-ender.

In58men 09-30-2024 07:02 PM

Chiefs either assumed career ending and it isn’t or there’s swelling that needs to go down first.

If that’s the case why delay any announcement that he’s out for the season? It wouldn’t matter what type of injury it is for that announcement.

RunKC 09-30-2024 07:04 PM

A hyperextended knee has very similar symptoms as an ACL tear. I wonder if they think his ACL is in tact and it is hyperextended?

Unbelievable that the ACL isn't torn, if so. Might be a miracle.

BWillie 09-30-2024 07:06 PM

Boobie Miles said he didnt have a tear either

Rashee misses 8 weeks. Mahomes has to learn to trust the other weapons. Kelce gets his swagger back.

Then Pacheco comes back as Hunt starts wearing down a bit. We lean heavily on the run for a couple weeks.

Rice comes back for that added dimension the last couple weeks of the season. The offense starts to gel.

Playoffs start and Hollywood Brown comes back in spot duty for the Divisional Round.

Our full offense isn’t unleashed until the Super Bowl.

Who needs a cigarette now?

Problem with the bolded part is that Rashee was cutting into Kelce’s catches. Now that Rashee is out Mahomes most likely defaults back to the one guy he always has leaned on prior to the first few games. Would love for him to trust his weapons, so we will see.
