Whether they’d admit it or not, every fan of an NFC team wanted the Chiefs to not make the Super Bowl. The last thing they wanted was for the Chiefs to wake up and figure it out.

Mahomes, Reid, and an elite Spags defense is terrifying when the offense isn’t killing itself.

If the ravens defense wasn’t so good we would have scored in the 2nd half I think

They have 2 good corners. Ward and Lenoir. But Ambry Thomas you can pick on by just throwing at him and he will commit PI penalties. He's in position the majority of the time but just can't help himself. The run defense is a problem though and I blame Wilks mostly for that. I do have a question, Why does your DC never get poached?

We lost Saleh and then we lost Ryans. And will probally lose Wilks, Though this one I will be happy with.

Spags is pretty old. I think it’s held against him. Same thing with the Cincy DC who is pretty great as well. Seems like the owners want to hire 40 year olds everywhere. Look at how both young Philly coordinators got HC spots last off-season.

Combination of the Ravens defense and also an ultra conservative approach on offense in the second half.

Right shoulder… sounds like he’ll be okay.

Also Kittle is day to day.

Just the through of Brock Purdy beating Patrick makes me sick as a ****ing dog.

Absolutely cannot let that happen under any circumstances.

nychief 01-30-2024 06:38 AM

Spags is going to put Brock in a blender.

The kittle one is one to keep an eye on. When a toe is "day to day" that may suggest it's a turf toe. And if that is the case then it will be interesting to see the injury report next week. Their CB Thomas also has an ankle problem which could be a sprain. McM might be fine but we've all seen with Gay these neck/shoulder issues can linger.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-30-2024 07:01 AM

They just don’t run through offense through Kittle like they did in 2019, too many mouths to feed. He will break off big plays from time to time, but it’s not the same primary read type of threat.

CMC of course is the straw stirring the drink. He's gonna get his. I expect Sneed to contain Aiyuk. McDuffie will blanket Deebo, but that doesn’t negate the threat of sweeps/runs.

We stopped picking on their zone in the second half. Went very conservative and dumped the ball off in the flat and ran a power running game with the interior lineman. Had the Ravens switched their game-plan from pass happy to a their bread-and-butter (three tight-ends) there's no chance Reid would have stayed with that game plan but he was content to watch the Baltimore offensive coordinator and league-MVP self implode. That's what winning football coaches do.

He’s not. He’s one of the least mobile starting QBs in the NFL and a pure pocket passer (and not a particularly good one).

The Chiefs are gonna eat him alive in 2 weeks just like the Ravens did.

Yeah I wouldn't spy him much either. We need that extra defender to work against the pass or follow CMC. If Brick I mean Brock Purdy beats you with his legs so be it. I would not overreact to one game.

Bl00dyBizkitz 01-30-2024 08:43 AM

Is there good QB analysis breakdown of Brock Purdy? I don't really think he sucks, but I also don't think he's doing anything spectacular. Gotta see the tape to know what he's about.

Yep, it's important to get a lead and make him play from behind. That's what the Lions did and Brock made some really bad decisions that were rewarded with a 1 of 100 times completions.

digger 01-30-2024 08:49 AM

Is it more likely that Purdy throws 2 ints or for Patrick to throw 4 TDs?

2 picks for Purdy.

I think our offense will be really efficient and balanced with Mahomes being surgical. We should score around 27 or so.

It was a great example of early Patriot Brady-Belichick suffocating game management.

Once the Chiefs were up 10, the game was over as long as the Chiefs didn’t give the Ravens life by turning the ball over.
