1. Thuney isn’t playing T barring injuries. Remmers will be the RT if Niang isn’t ready.

2. He wasn’t signed for “tweener money”. He was paid like an elite G, which he is.

It’s damn nice knowing he can play LT effectively if needed. The guy is a ****ing awesome technician like Schwartz. It speaks volumes that the Hoodie himself was ready to roll with Thuney at LT a few years ago due to a camp dispute.

Joe Thuney can play LT if Orlando Brown Jr gets hurt and we need him to
Kyle Long can play RT if Lucas Niang and Mike Remmers both get hurt
Mike Remmers can play RT if Lucas Niang gets hurt and vice versa

It’s a great feeling to know that we are not just loaded but well prepared for Armageddon should it happen again

This signing looks even better after the draft and trade. Props to Veach for having the vision to build the line in the way it presented itself. Past GMs would have been laser focused on the LT position and that's it.

His thing is probably legit, the equipment works.

This in a strange way ended up being sort of forgotten about. Our biggest actual signing of the offseason and other than the normal CP arguments really doesnt get talked about much.

This has been a great offseason. Looking forward to the rest of it.

I have no doubt in my mind that we are going to win the SB LVI

This seasons team will be the most talented of the Mahomes era...so far.

Ever seen a LG head fake?

This dude is a ****ing man. Playing with a broken hand and there's almost no drop off in play

smithandrew051 10-19-2021 02:35 PM

Definitely one of my favorite players on the team. Legit badass.

That little "Aw, dang it" clap from Trey after the play lol

Either dude really wanted to lay someone out and didn't get a clean shot or he was annoyed that we didn't get into the end zone there.

EDIT: Never mind. I see now that the second guy he tried to get a hat on actually ended up making the tackle.

Hammock Parties 10-19-2021 02:40 PM

i like how that was a brilliantly blocked play but if our beast **** of a LT does his job it's a TD

we have so much room to go from elite to otherworldly

Looks like the guy he got his hands on ultimately made the tackle from behind.

Might not of been his assignment though.

EDIT: just saw your edit

Yeah, I really like Thuney. Playing through this injury shows grit. He just got paid; he could easily take a month off and collect checks.

Guy's a technician too. He's got no business being just as good with a club as he is with fully functional hands.

smithandrew051 10-19-2021 06:30 PM

Thuney is to the Chiefs what Simply Red is to ChiefsPlanet

Outstanding....

Thuney is our new first one in, last one out hero. Goodbye Anthony Sherman.
