I understood exactly what Floyd was doing after about 3 rounds, but I'm never going to like or appreciate that. He was basically point-fighting, and maximizing his chance to win rounds/not lose rounds rather than hurt his opponent.

At least with the "boring" parts of MMA you can slowly and eventually learn to appreciate what they are doing because in the back of your head you know that if they can just work their way to a dominant position then they'll really be able to do something cool to hurt their opponent, so knowing that I'm fine with watching them struggle most of the round and never quite get there. (sometimes you do get guys who just wrestle and don't JJ or ground strike at all, and those matches do suck)
