I love shepherd's pie.

I do too. I haven't made it in awhile and got some ground lamb here leftover. So that's what'll be this year.

UGH....

I love it on a sandwich, piled on thick with a dill pickle. Or with sauerkraut. I like it this way more than the boiled dinner, but I do like the boiled dinner...just had it once too many times.

It's one of my favorite meals. So tasty. Do you have a favorite recipe, or do you just wing it?

I had a recipe...but when I lost my data in my system crash it went with it. I could probably find it again online if I recognize it. Tho' I could wing it too. Vaguely, I'm thinkin' it was by Alton Brown.

His is pretty good. CI's is also very tasty.

I'm thinking about trying Rachael Ray's 30-minute version Tuesday.

Gordon Ramsay has a excellent recipe. My favorite cook though is the guy from Food Wishes on YouTube. Not sure if he has one or not.

What is CI's? Cooks Illustrated?

IIRC if it calls for tomato paste, I think it's Altons. I just don't feel like checking right now. I feel lazy after three long work days on location.

I will check out CI's ( when I find out what that is) as well as Ramsey's.

Yep, Cook's Illustrated.

Should I put green food coloring in the mashed taters folks?

How do green pistachio nuts taste in chocolate chip cookies?

You can do food coloring or top it good with some scallions.

Oh WoW! Look what I found. Green mashed potatoes...and they don't look bad. Not only that but it turns out the Irish mixed greens into their potatoes.
