I had fun in Boarderlands.

Looks cool but any game that says free to play means pay to win.

If these gaming companies would charge $100 for a game with everything both present and future included I'd more more inclined to purchase said game. Instead they nickel and dime you to death with microtransactions and DLC.

The good thing with being so far behind on gaming like myself is that by the time you find something interesting there's plenty of honest reviews.

I'll play Fallout New Vegas for the 3rd time and be more entertained while knowing exactly what I'm getting before half the new releases.

I'm having a ton of fun and haven't spent a dime, it's not PVP. Pay for convenience but I'll just play for free and let the whales carry the game. You can get pretty much anything without spending money and the best character in the game(most overpowered) you get within 2 hours of doing the quests. You also unlock an ultimate weapon for her right after, so you really don't have to spend anything. I don't pay for cosmetics so no reason to spend money here.

So how does this game differ/compare to say crusader kings 2 and 3?

Figured this applies to a few of you, at least

Wireless controllers are like cell phones. We grew up without it, we functioned fine, but I cannot fathom how we did it.

Lets not pretend that consoles weren't getting yanked off of table tops around the country.

I honestly haven't played much of Crusader Kings... I tried playing CK3 but couldn't really get into it, so I honestly couldn't tell you the differences. Sorry to be of little help.

I remember my first wireless controller. For the Gamecube. Took 2 AAs and burned through that in seemingly like 4 hours. And the only reason I bought it was because it was on sale used and cheap at Vintage Stock. Crazy how much the industry has changed.

wired controllers (i.e. Atari) was why we had to sit so close to the TV to play games!

Yeah the stance dancing is uber important. So is your armor sets and charm loadouts. Next thing i aim to unlock is the burning blade oil.

Im still in Act 2...the beginning of it. Been using most of time to collect items and doing the smaller side quests etc. Haven't really worried about the main storyline.

The way i see it: Once i finish the main storyline I may not want to return to the game. So i'll do all the side content first and slooowly progress through the main story.

i hear ya. Im having fun writing Haiku, performing tameshigiri and bathing in springs. one of my favorite things to do is hunt wild boar on horseback.

sometimes i just follow the wind of vanity.

I play games with a joystick/game pad. I'm not writing a term paper - I'm enjoying a game. It's not complicated.

Having 20 different keys to a game makes it that way. Keep everything in reach in a small area. One of your 8 buttons can be a shift key and the other 7 now have secondary functions. Moving my character with U/D/L/R keys will never feel natural or enjoyable to me.

I'm fine with that stuff in a Sim City or point and click game. I get it. That's the one time a joystick is truly cumbersome. Games are what I do to enjoy my time and forget about work - acting like I'm doing this for a living and I need that extra 3/4ths a second defeats the purpose.

For those that have played Elden Ring........is it more Souls-like, or Bloodborne-like?

It looks interesting....

Definitely Souls.

Pretty frustrating seeing how promising College Football 25 looks. EA is capable of making a decent football sim, they've just been lazy and complacent.
