I'm on the outside looking in. I think that this is such a big deal here especially because its pretty much affecting 99% of this boards user base, since most people here are fans of Big 12 or Big 10 teams (Iowa I guess).
Four sixteen team conferences sounds stupid to me honestly, but I guess we'll see.

It makes a lot of sense to me. You would have 2 divisions in each conference. The winner of each division would play a conference championship game to whittle it down to 4 teams who play for the title. The Big (10) winner plays the Pac (10) champ in the Rose Bowl, the SEC champ plays the ACC champ in the Orange Bowl, and the winners of those games play each other in the Sugar Bowl for the NC.
It would be incredible. Then, you wouldn't have to waste your time during the regular season by watching a bunch of terrible non-conference matchups. You could eliminate the I-AA garbage games and allow teams to play 2 games maximum against teams from outside the power conferences.
