The top 2 RPI teams in the Big 12 have 2 losses between them. Both are to Kentucky and are by a combined 44 points.
The only compelling storyline in all of college basketball all year is whether or not someone can hit a bunch of lucky threes in the tournament and knock off Kentucky. It's 336 against 1.
I would love for somebody to give me one legit reason to watch basketball prior to March, but it's just boring as hell watching a handful of Freshmen who are only playing because they have to "attend" college for a couple of months before going to the league.
I'd love to care, but the sport is in a terrible place right now between the one and dones and the constant whistles. It's completely unwatchable. I just checked the box score for the Kansas Utah game. KU beat a top 15 team. Kansas made 18 baskets in 40 minutes. They made 21 free throws.
That's the marquee game played in Kansas City. What could be less interesting than watching college kids shoot free throws for two and a half hours?
