Lot of options. Spend on a lot of mid level FA’s (Christinian Jones, Nigel Bradham, DaQuan Jones, etc) or you can trade for a player and extend them.

While I don’t think they’d go after OBJ, why would Hill hate that? You really think you double him with OBJ on the other side and Kelce in the middle?

We’d have a trillion dollars in WR’s in 2-3 years, but dammit it’d be fun.

True but you could be essentially ready to get out from under said WRs in 3 years when Mahomes would hopefully be due for s big deal

I'd be fine with DaQuan Jones and Bradham to bolster the defense.

In terms of a "big" FA signing, corner makes the most sense based on the market and need but I'm starting to worry if they think Amerson could be a starter then they are done spending on the position...

It’s been going up $10 mil per year recently. So, I agree.

49ers go from no hope to playoff potential in 2 offseasons. John Lynch quietly being underrated

Easy 6 03-10-2018 06:26 PM

Tyreek Hill hit 1183 in his first year at 1, with Alex Smith throwing him the ball, think about that for a minute...

Now just imagine what he is capable of with a second year of seasoning in that spot, and a sexy ass long ball meister like Mahomes chucking him the rock... nah, we do NOT need an expensive replacement for Tyreek Hill

NJChiefsFan 03-10-2018 06:29 PM

. Free agent Paul Richardson hinted he was done in a Saturday social media post.
Richardson cryptically tweeted "one thing I do know is I had a ball in Seattle!" This implies Richardson's time in Seattle has likely come to an end. It was only a matter of time since Richardson is looking for $7 million per year on his next deal and the Seahawks reportedly won't pay more than $5.5 million annually to re-sign him. Without Richardson and Jimmy Graham, Seattle will enter free agency with roughly $30 million in cap space and the second-most available air yards from 2017's production.
Only $7 million a year for Richardson? I’d do that in a heartbeat.

I must say though that if Richardson only gets $7M, I don’t see how Watkins gets more than $10M. And in that case I’d probably rather have Sammy.

Paul Richardson is a gamer. He would be a good fit on this team I think.

And he is only 25.

Paul Richardson is the guy I thought of when Veach said he'd be a player in the speedy receiver market. He makes more sense than Robinson in that regard. Watkins is a possibility, but Richardson seems more likely.

That seems high for a guy with 1300 career yds with 8 TDs that 700 yds and 6 TDs came last year which of course was his best year. I think the Seahawks have it right in the $5.5M a year.
We could always backload it and make his "guaranteed" money in bonuses so that if he doesn't produce that we can get rid of him without a huge hit to the cap.

Mahomes will be taking 7th round ****s like Donald Driver was for Brett Favre and turning them into team record holders.

It's tempting to give him established star NFL talent, but if you REALLY want to support a young QB, give him an OL and a decent defense before any of that other shit.

Defense. Defense. Defense.

I missed out on all the Allen Robinson talk... where does that situation stand right now?

BlackOp 03-11-2018 12:46 AM

Smith was the definition of a "system" QB...if the play call didn't create a mismatch, he either ran or threw the ball away. He left a lot of open receivers on the field..

Mahomes is an improv, seat-of-your-pants, type QB...he sees the field, live, so much better than AS..and has the arm to pull it off.

What I'm getting at is I'm not sure KC really needs another bluechip WR...Wilson had 150 yards in Mahomes first start. Kelce, Conley, Hunt and Hill weren't even playing.

Nelson and Bailey should be available to anyone. Nelson is going into the last year of his deal and will get more on the open market than we will be willing to pay unless he balls out his mind this year...Baileys position is one we should be able to upgrade significantly this offseason and if we can move him for a ham sandwich, we should. He hasn’t improved.
