I like Signs a lot.

Yeah the whole 2nd half of the movie I was thinking there has to be a sequel.

I really liked Signs, I've watched it a few times and usually pick up on something I missed the first time or 2 I've watched it. Really want to see The Visit when it comes out, although I'll attempt to keep my expectations at bay.

Color of Money...good film, but could have been a great film. I feel like Cruise and Newman were wasted on a mediocre script.

God damn Southpaw was a great movie. It's too bad I watched it in such a dusty room...

I watched Dumb and Dumber 2 since it finally came on cable. It had some funny parts but overall I knew it would be exactly like the modern day Farrelly Brother films, mediocre to awful like the Three Stooges and Hall Pass. Once they made that clunker "Stuck on You" in 2003 it's been down hill ever since.

Just watched A Most Violent Year (it's on Amazon Prime). The movie was pretty good -- didn't love the end, though. Oscar Isaac is a great actor, I'm excited to see him in more stuff and need to catch him on that HBO show now.

i did not expect such an emotional film.. damn it hit after hit after hit.. Jake did a great job.

Forget Paris....a great Billy Crystal flick...and I SWEAR Debra Winger is Zooey Deschanel's mother.

My wife wanted to watch "Spy Game" this weekend. Robert Redford and Brad Pitt - it should be good, right?

What a snooze-fest. At least she got some eye-candy, I guess.

Yeah....there were some parts in that movie that hit the emotions hard. Gylenhall is an amazing actor.

Bill Hader is pretty funny and schumer has her moments, I'm not surprised in the least it was decent.

watched the new documentary Pearl Jam Twenty last night. it's like 2...2.5 hours or so. it's really good. I'd say you don't even have to like them to find it interesting.

It's on my list. A shorter rockumentary that I recently watched, called The Punk Singer, was pretty good. It was about Kathleen Hanna, singer from the riot grrrl band, Bikini Kill, and an almost-scary, but pretty, militant feminist.

I really liked this movie. Debra Winger was a doll in her younger days. Have you ever seen Urban Cowboy or An Officer and a Gentleman?

The Eric Clapton tune was pretty good, though. :)

Yeah the Rogue Nation. It was a fun action packed movie that didn't get too crazy and over the top.

Finally saw Entourage. Low expectations going based on all the bad reviews. I actually enjoyed it though.

Not sure, but I'm really enjoying the new breed of Euro-based action and gangster movies. Stuff like Krays and Rockinrolla' are just way better than their American counterparts as of late.

This movie Alien vs Predator: Requiem is on TV right now.

Everything else aside, this movie is SO dark. You can't make out what's even happening during about 90% of the movie. I can't believe professional movie-makers would look at this finished product and decide it looked good.

I caught a couple decent flicks over the last couple days.

The Drop
Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini deliver some pretty damn good acting in this ridiculously simple plot. I think you stick virtually any other actor in those roles and the movie is a joke. Overall it is a really good flick that I recommend seeing. Not a game changer or a paradigm shifter, but a good watch.

Serenity
I finally caught this. Given the situation that dictated its' production, I figured it would suck bawls even though I'm a pretty big fan of Firefly. Even if my expectations would have been on par with Firefly, this shit was really really good. Really good. Watch this bitch if you've seen Firefly but not this. Can't believe it took me so long to watch it.

Gonna try and check out Scorch Trials and Everest later today.

Ok, didn't see Everest, but Scorch Trials was pretty dawn awesome. I was impressed. IMO this is the best YA fiction series currently going.

now...about this serenity movie....I want to watch it. trailer looked good...you say it's good...but I'm very...umm...ocd?....about certain things. like I could never join a series at episode 3. I must must MUST first see episodes 1 & 2. I MUST! so I feel like I need to watch the series before watching the movie....cause I'm weird like that....:banghead:
however.....14 episodes is a big investment of time!

Re: Serenity.

Watch Firefly first. It will definitely be a WTF is going on here if you don't. Firefly is good, but the production budget was small. There are a few things that are fairly hokey, but overall the dialogue is good and the character development is outstanding. Serenity is a conclusion to the storyline that Firefly set up and was canned too early for.

Spend the time. Watch Firefly. Watch Serenity. Thank Buehler445.

I watched Jackie Brown again for the first time in 10 years, such an underrated film. Robert Forster made the movie.

Good flick, great soundtrack!

I remember enjoying it a lot more the second time I watched it years later. Expectations were just too high as a follow-up to Pulp Fiction.

The Curse of Chucky sucked but I enjoyed it.

It made me think about the Child's Play flicks. The first one was legitimately a good movie, IMO. The second and third were good in my eyes as well.

Shit, I even like Bride of Chucky. Seed of Chucky was buns, though. **** that movie.

I thought the first one was pretty good. I remember being around age 5-6 when it came out and was freaked out, I wasn't old enough to watch it obviously but my older brother had rented it.

Took the kids to see Hotel Transylvania 2 this past weekend. Wasn't too bad considering I knew what it was going to be heading into it. Kids loved it....that's all that matters.

Took the grandson sunday. I thought it was ok, granson wasn't overly thrilled with it.

Coming from a big fan of Ancient Egypt and its mythology, The Pyramid sucked.

It was basically As Above So Below but in an Egyptian pyramid as opposed to the Parisian catacombs and obviously lacking the Christian religion overtones.

The CGI blew dicks and the Anubis reveal really ruined the movie.

I've heard several people go into a spiral trying to explain this movie, and each were so hyped about the experience they couldn't be bothered to put together cogent sentences. But wherever Charlie Kaufman is involved I don't doubt it a bit.

Watched a pretty good b horror movie last night. Was called We Are Still Here. Prob one of the better ones I've seen in a while.
