49ers with Lance and Purdy.

Pretty good track record with 2nd selected QB's for teams that double dipped.

Yea, pretty sure that happens 100% of the time :)

Do the Browns sign Shilo as a UDFA?

You want TWO of Deion's spawn on your team? That sounds like an absolute nightmare.

No but it wouldn't surprise me if that was a requirement to draft King Shadeur.

Just saw a video of Shedeur's reaction to being drafted by the Browns. He seemed genuinely thrilled. Maybe this whole thing was/is a learning moment for him. I think he was relieved to just be drafted at all.

It's not a bad spot for him. I mean, Watson isn't going to be the starter, that's almost a certainty. So, Shadeur has to sit behind Flacco for a year, no more than that. I doubt Pickett or Gabriel will be able to stay ahead of him in the order for very long. And he'll have the benefit of a solid top-10 defense and a stable HC situation with some credible weapons at his disposal. He just has to bear down and learn the offense and learn some humility for a season.

also, as an aside, I don't see him having a weak arm. He doesn't have a cannon, but I watched maybe 5-6 games of his while he was at CO and he threw some 40-50 yd bombs with good accuracy in there. More than enough arm to play in the NFL, if guys like Tua, cousins, hurts, Goff, Lawrence, Dak and Purdy are any examples.

Yo Murphy. 04-26-2025 02:56 PM

Some people are starting to say the moon is made of Swiss cheese. I don't subscribe to this line of thinking but nevertheless some are saying it. So the question is simple. If the moon were made of Swiss cheese would the browns draft shadeur sanders in the 5th.

It’s got to help that he now has far less pressure on him to be an instant effective starter than if they had taken him as a top 5 pick and the way draft week played out just might help him mature and develop character.

5th on the depth chart in Cleveland…a team he said he wouldn’t play for is ideal.
