The most likely scenario is that the NFL will "pay itself back" once the new TV contracts have been finalized. The NFL Salary Cap may not rise much in the next two years (some are calling it a "Flat Cap") but there's no way the NFL is decreasing the cap because it would lead to complete and utter chaos, which isn't a good look when you're hoping to sign the largest sports broadcasting deal in world history. |
