Did I think it would limit the playbook? Yes. Did I think it would kill any dynamism the Chiefs' offense had? Yes. I still thought they could win though.

Now, you answer me this: with a 28 point lead and basically the entire second half yet to play; isn't it still the offenses responsibility to be efficient and put points on the board? (The Chiefs scored a total of 6 points after the Davis TD reception BTW)

I am not arguing that the offense underperformed in the second half.

There were several factors, some that INCLUDE Alex Smith, but to single any one out, is not fair.

Not having Charles to run the clock, hurt. Bowes drop on 3rd and medium where Alex threw a really good pass.

Alexs miss to Cyrus Gray, Alexs IG, Alexs fumble, the energy with which the Colts played defense, and offense, and the fact that after that early int in the second half, the Chiefs defense didn't stop the colts once.

Not only that, but the Chiefs losing Flowers, and Houston, didn't help at all.

Yep. My entire dislike of Alex D. Smith was based around the fact I thought he would be useless in the postseason.

Shit, he was the only reason we had a chance today.

Alex Smith is a good quarterback.

Key word is GOOD.

He is not an elite player which is what you need in these days.

The future looks good for you guys but in the AFC you still have to overcome the likes of Brady, Manning, Luck.

Winning ain't easy.

Um, early 4th. Went down with a knee.

Give Alex Smith multiple weapons like Colston, Jimmy Graham, Kenny Stills, Lance Moore, Darren Sproles, Pierre Thomas then ****ing talk to me.

he has NEVER HAD A CAST LIKE THAT. NEVER.

I thought it was early in the 4th. I think the beginning of the 4th quarter. I could be wrong though.

Not getting a touchdown on two series, the big one being in the 3rd after Luck's 3rd pick. That should have been the dagger in the Colts, holding the Chiefs to a field goal was a victory and changed the game around.

That was a beautiful pass that grey turned fully around on 15 yards too early and back peddled, but you can't really fault the QB or the scrubs on that one, chalk that up to inexperience.

At the very least, extend some drives and continually put the Colts in poor field position. But what happens? The Colts answer with a TD, and then AS makes a terrible play which ends up in a sack/strip which leads to anothe Indy TD, cutting the lead to 14. The game was over after that, IMHO. For all of their talk about toughness and family, I honestly think this Chiefs team is quite weak, mentally.

Allowing TDS on FIVE consecutive drives changed the game
..absolutely pathetic

Literally, Luck, as in the luck of causing a fumble, having it bounce off a clueless lineman's head, and right into the hands of an offensive playmaker who can dive over the pile to score a TD. And to say Alex Smith is not elite is kind of a biased statement. Stats aren't really key in his "eliteness". It is more of his accuracy and care of the football and handling situations. I wouldnt say he is top 5 right now, but I would definitely say top 10

Pretty sure the Chiefs only had one drive, (the last one) without Davis.

Top 10...you may be the ONLY fan in America to believe that.
