Did I think it would limit the playbook? Yes. Did I think it would kill any dynamism the Chiefs' offense had? Yes. I still thought they could win though.
Now, you answer me this: with a 28 point lead and basically the entire second half yet to play; isn't it still the offenses responsibility to be efficient and put points on the board? (The Chiefs scored a total of 6 points after the Davis TD reception BTW)

I am not arguing that the offense underperformed in the second half.
There were several factors, some that INCLUDE Alex Smith, but to single any one out, is not fair.
Not having Charles to run the clock, hurt. Bowes drop on 3rd and medium where Alex threw a really good pass.
Alexs miss to Cyrus Gray, Alexs IG, Alexs fumble, the energy with which the Colts played defense, and offense, and the fact that after that early int in the second half, the Chiefs defense didn't stop the colts once.
Not only that, but the Chiefs losing Flowers, and Houston, didn't help at all.
