Yeah, all those teams on the Northeast would cease to exist without the Chiefs.

Ha. Yeah, that was a bit of an overstatement. We basically WEREN'T a professional team this season, and football still happened.

Yes sir.

Did you know that Trent Green never threw more than 300 passes in a season while in Kansas City?

That's almost as accurate as any assertion that Brian Westbrook never got more than 177 carries/season under Andy Reid.

Stupid post is stupid.

My only question mark with Reid is the defense. What DC would he bring in and what type of defense would he use?

Makes it pretty easy to believe what Hunt said when he said he didn't know what was happening with Pioli.

makes no difference ... the team wasn't winning then or now

Wide 9 FTW!

j/k :D

ChiefMojo 01-02-2013 10:56 AM

Of course it makes sense... if Pioli hadn't signed that extension he doesn't come out doing damage control when sh*t starts hitting the fan earlier this season and we also don't still have him in KC still. At this moment he is still here because Clark is trying to figure out how he is going to weasel his money away from paying Pioli. In the mean time he has pretty much castrated Pioli in KC.

Either at worst case Pioli stays in a role similar to what he had in New England or he is gone soon once we hire the next head coach that doesn't want him (has his own guy).

didn't Reid run a zone blitzing 3-4 for most of his time in philly?

was it 1-gap or 2-gap?

But Reid's style of coaching is pretty radically different from 'Martyball.'

I hate Ian Rappaport, too.

Reid isn't a martyball coach. The question is why a team that has absolutely dominated the NFC in the regular season has had average postseason success. I feel like he's tense or presses in the playoffs. I don't mind the hire. He's better than Marty. But wish people wouldn't create stories that his postseason lack of success hasn't been very, very heavily scrutinized, not just in Philly, but everywhere.

Look, AZ probably set theirs up before Clark got him on the phone. How is that being PROACTIVE?

Clark wants to get his name in the hat, sure, but Reid already made the decision to go there. I think it's a leverage deal. I don't think he us interested in KC he would have notified us.

kcxiv 01-02-2013 10:58 AM

apparently Reid's wife is from Arizona, if thats the case, they have a HUGE HUGE advantage.

No. He ran a heavy blitz 4-3. Two DEs, two DTs.

If he brings Bowles, that makes me really nervous. If Bowles comes in, we are running two gap. He is a parcells disciple.

Clark,"Hello, Andy, we would like you to come to Kan......"

Reid,"Stop. Before you say anymore, is Pioli and Cassel still in KC?"

Clark,"Well, um, as a matter of fact I am just about to execute both of them as we speak."

Reid,"See you soon."
