We're going to be talking about Oscar and his potential as old men. |
Starting the thread in a month sounds good to me.
Regarding Oscar, I'm sure they'll have an OT 18 in the bullpen, and I hope they put it up, but goddamn will I hate seeing it. |
It's had me down all week. Even the girls at the office have asked about me. Just all the whys and what ifs.

Rockies interested in moving Carlos Gonzalez. Interest?

We need a right fielder though and if I remember correctly could easily absorb the contract

His injury history, rocky mountain high inflated BA, giving up prospects is the issue for me. |

But Gonzalez would be cheaper and would fit in great |
He's still young enough that you could chalk up 2014 as a disaster year for him. It might represent the best chance for the Cardinals to buy low on someone with MVP-level upside, and with him under contract for three more years at $10 MM, that's pretty cheap.
And while he is certainly not the hitter he is at Coors, his career isolated slugging on the road is better than any Cardinal had overall in 2014, save for Peralta, who bested him by one point. I would gladly give them Marco Gonzales and Grichuk or Piscotty for him, and probably a touch more. |

Yadi wins another gold glove, although I'm not sure he deserved it this year.

He is still the best defensive catcher in baseball. He did have some issues with getting out on balls and taking pitches off. |
