Funny they took so long to get on board.

That being said according to Saul's method Kansas is the tops this century.

You ready? Here comes the switch...

My method? Are you under the impression that I am Matt Lombardi? UCONN is the most successful. This is some stupid article from nearly two years ago you just dug up

Stop posting.

College basketball is awesome. I love getting to know the players and watching them develop and become part of the fabric of their universities.

There really is nothing quite like watching the future NBA superstars show up on campus as young, fresh-faced 18 year old kids and watching their coaches and professors mold, mentor, and shape them until they have blossomed into mature, responsible adults when they leave campus as 18 and a half year old men.

It just makes you feel good.

The entire appeal of college basketball revolves around office pools and cheering for the best team to get beat.

So the best is not determined by the playoffs?

hmmmm.....

I'm getting very confused here with all the moving of goalposts.

Really? Where did I say the playoffs determined the best team?

I've maintain Ed for years that, inspire of its flaws, college football is most likely to crown the best team as champion. The goalposts are right where I left them.

Everything you say is stupid. This is another goalpost that will never move.

Kansas had the best record in 2010-11.

Should they get the national championship trophy?

I said the team with the best record is the best team? No. I never said that. I say smart things.

In 2009-10 Kansas was preseason #1 and finished #1 in the polls.

So this is yet another method.

Yet they did not get a national championship trophy for this year.

Come on now...there's got to be one in here somewhere.

You just declared Kentucky the NC regardless of what happens in the tournament.

Saul once claimed hoops doesn't crown the best team. When I asked him to prove his assertion, he said "Uconn 2011". I asked for any other examples, and he ran off terrified.

Just make him prove any of his points, and he melts down.

It's crazy too. I congratulated mizzou on their SEC-East "title" immediately following their win against Arkansas.

Why the same respect is never given the other way says alot about him and their fanbase.

We're they the best team? Probably. If you're trying to convince me that college basketball only matters come tournament time, good news. I'm right there with you.

Not at all. The season determines seeding for a national tournament.

Just like the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and now CFB.

I just wanted to see what your method was for determining a champion.

But if you don't care about the sport enough to care about how a champion is crowned then I suppose that's also an option.

Saul Good 12-10-2014 04:48 PM

This is hilarious. The entire season is Kentucky against the field. None of,the regular season matters. The seeding doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is whether or not one team gets lucky and knocks off Kentucky in the tournament in a crazy fluke.

What's more...I couldn't tell you a single player who will likely be on Kentucky's team next year, but I can tell you that they will be one of the favorites to win it all. It's ridiculous.
