IIRC, Cook went out in the 2nd. That was after he scored two TDs on them. |

If they didn’t get a sack that’s fine. But I’m about to go give Rabs my sack. Zing!!! Did I do it right?? |

Oh jeeez. Here we go again. Our ELITE defense was missing pieces. All those pieces finally got healthy 2 weeks ago. |
Quote:
You’re right. I don’t even know why we’re playing. Should just hand over the Lombardi now. |
Quote:
And even with all your pieces, Aaron Rodgers throws for over 320 and 2 TDs . . . With just two weapons. Curiouser and curiouser . . . |

Go to their message board. They have absolutely zero respect for us.
They are convinced that stopping Mahomes will be easy and that we are no match for their high powered defense. You would’ve thought that teams had learned by now. You are not going to stop Mahomes. You just don’t. No matter how good your defense is, he’s better than them. I look forward to reading the horror and shock on their board during the game as they realize that he is shredding their “unsolvable” defense. |

Sure, the niners have seen Wilson (2x) and Murray (2x) but Pat is just different. If their fans are too blinded by the fact they beat a Kirk Cousins that played like his true self and an Aaron Rodgers that I cannot understand why he looked like he didn't care...then it's their choice |

I'm reminded of that Rams defense we faced last year. It was dominant and did give us fits.
We lost but we put up 50 points. |
Quote:
Rodgers had 43 yards passing in the 1st half. He lit it up in the 2nd when the pass rush wasn't getting home very often. Obviously that can't happen in Miami if we're going to have a legit chance. Even in victory I can't remember the last time the 49ers slowed down Brees, even when we had Willis & Bowman and crew. He's always had our number, especially in the dome. |

Whoever lines up on that side will be a non factor. |
If the 49ers defensive gameplan is to play a lot of zone.....then I’m going to assume that we’ll aim for a lot of lengthy drives where our players find the soft spot in the zone and sit down for Mahomes. Get the ball out of his hands quickly to negate their rush. Once they’re tired.....then you hit them with the deep kill shots.

But they went into the game knowing they had to have an answer, and gave up 4 TDs in a row in the first half. Then in the second half it looks they finally made the right adjustments; NO fumbles away a possession, punts and kicks a FG. Seems like the Niners defense figured out how to stop NO. Then they allow two TDs in the 4th quarter. So apparently their fix was very temporary. Regardless, if your defense plays anywhere near that level, or doesn't make adjustments that stick, they're going to have a tough day against Mahomes and co. |

There will be opportunities to hit big plays at times, especially with KCs speed to create YAC. But for the most part Patrick is going to have to take what they give in the short to intermediate areas. Good news — that’s exactly what he did last year and this preseason against their scheme. |

A lot of receivers are notorious for not giving it their all on run plays to the opposite side and plays like that. We need to be locked in every single play and leave it all on the field. |

He's not going to be a factor anyway. We can block Ford with a WR. Pringle probably. |

He's a straight liability against the run, he can't set an edge if you gave him a protractor, he gets blocked by WRs and scat backs, has no coverage skills, and has only one move. And that's without talking about his uncanny ability to line up or just jump off-sides on a regular basis. And when we first got him, I liked him. But his ceiling turned out to be very low. He's okay on 3rd-and-long. But tends to disappear against quality OTs. So as long as you're willing to understand that he's very limited as a DE/OLB, you're good. |

A curveball. Before Mahomes, the idea that a QB could throw a curveball to avoid a defender for a completion had never entered my mind as a possibility. Defend that. |

Bell and the OTs will be able to limit the impact of Ford and Bosa.
Especially with Damien and Lesean in the backfield to clean up. |

The lack of humility your fanbase is showing towards Patrick Mahomes is hilarious though. You’re in for a rude awakening if you think your defense is just going to shut us down. |

However, the gist seems to be that you think your team is going to blow out the Chiefs. In the two years that Mahomes has led the Chiefs KC has never lost by more than 7 points. Even when he was injured. And there is a significant chance that the Chiefs blow out the 49ers. Something like 20% chance of it. My gut says it will be fairly close; 8 points probably, but there is a real possibility that the Chiefs run away with this game early in the 3rd. |

Why do you guys keep making this a QB comparison? yes PM Is the truth! everyone knows this Please tell me how KC defense is going to stop our offense? |

We then proceeded to hold him to 69yds and his lowest average per carry since week 6. Not sure why that would make it impossible to stop your rush. And then it's Garappolo throwing the ball? We've feasted on less mobile QBs this year. So, that's how. Or you can look at how we did the same to Dalvin Cook earlier in the season who looks a lot more like Mostert. |

Get one stop when a score gives us the lead. Get one stop with the lead. Lead increases. Double dip by the offense end of half/start third quarter. Your gameplan becomes one dimensional, and Jimmy Gamemanager is gonna have to carry the team with his arm, with Frank Clark and Chris Jones all over him. Shanahan is TERRIFIED to put the ball in Jimmys hands. Hell, he only let him throw 8 passes, and he STILL damn near threw a pick lol. When you get down 2 possessions and the game falls on Jimmy G, its over. |
