2 out rally

O.city 10-11-2014 06:55 PM

We've hit bumgarner pretty solidly.

Keep hitting it right at guys tho

OldSchool 10-11-2014 06:57 PM

Struck out swinging.

Also, Adams strikes out looking at a fastball right down the middle of the plate, belt high.

That's who Adams is against LHP.

Another elevated fastball gets roped into left.

BigRedChief 10-11-2014 07:02 PM

Waino can't keep the ball down.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:02 PM

That fat **** has hit two pitches that bounced.

Time to get Gonzalez or Wacha or whatever their backup plan is up and in the game. He just doesn't have it.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:04 PM

Make another dumbassed defensive play, Kolten. Jesus ****ing Christ.

How long until Wainwright is pulled?

Another 50 pitches. Matheny's not pulling him.

Just beautiful defense by the redbirds tonight.

If he gets out of this inning, should be his last. He's obviously not got it and the ump is squeezing him.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:08 PM

That's smart, Yadi. Waste pitches when your pitcher is laboring and a fly scores another run.

kcpasco 10-11-2014 07:08 PM

He's hurt and I wish him and the Cards would just admit it.

So 4 innings max. Take your gutless ass out of here Wainwright.

Thanks Wong. Defensive stupidity has cost two runs.

He says as loudly as he can to anyone that he is fine. If he is not injured, why can't he keep the ball down?

O.city 10-11-2014 07:12 PM

Someone will point to the 06 series as proof; but as a starter, Waino has been not good in the playoffs

He's got that dead arm thing going on again that he did after the all star break. Lynn should have gotten the start tonight.

His last good start was game 5 of the NLDS last year.

OldSchool 10-11-2014 07:16 PM

Bumgarner has only thrown about half as many pitches as Wainwright has.

Wainwright can't locate, our defense has given up three extra outs, and the Giants have a couple of jap hits, too.

kcpasco 10-11-2014 07:20 PM

Just give Wacha Wainwright ' s start if it gets back to him. The guy is not right and Wacha could do no worse.

O.city 10-11-2014 07:21 PM

All those 8-0 shutouts where we let waino finish with 115 pitches? Yeah I think it's finally caught up

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:22 PM

Batting practice. Right in the middle of the plate.

kcpasco 10-11-2014 07:24 PM

He is the 5th best option right now to start a game. But let's go ahead and make him our number 1.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:24 PM

Take the mother****ing out. Jesus.

O.city 10-11-2014 07:25 PM

Need a quick inning.

Marco up in the pen

OldSchool 10-11-2014 07:25 PM

One down. This has to be Wainwright's last inning.

O.city 10-11-2014 07:26 PM

Fastball (or cutter) sitting at 86

Not good

kcpasco 10-11-2014 07:28 PM

If he says it's not his elbow and the pain is on the back of his elbow, it would likely be the insertion of his triceps.

Yep, trying to get him personal goals instead of what is best for the team.

I know he's a good leader of the pitching staff. It was fantastic to have him continue teaching the young pitchers how to be a major league pitcher. but........this is the playoffs. Individual goal go off the table. Whats best for the team that day, is what you do.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:32 PM

Wainwright can't keep the ball below the belt and Bumgarner is toying with a new pitch. ROFL

I don't understand why they are not hitting Baumgarner. Kershaw is/was way better than this stuff we are seeing.

Maybe we have to wait until the 7th inning?

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:36 PM

Bumgarner has been tape-delayed at least three times tonight already.

Randomness? The way he hides the ball might be a bad matchup for them? There are a lot of potential reasons. It's also only been 3 1/3 and they are acting like he's dominant. Kershaw and Greinke were both significantly better in their starts through the same time frame.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:39 PM

Those are two of the worst ABs you'll ever see. Adams cannot pick up the ball out of his hand at all.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:40 PM

****ing scorched. Of course.

BigRedChief 10-11-2014 07:40 PM

That was pathetic

OldSchool 10-11-2014 07:41 PM

Man, Giants are playing solid defense.

kcpasco 10-11-2014 07:41 PM

Bumgarner won't choke like Kershaw. And even if he looks like he might, Bochy won't allow it.

It has not been great. Not a lot of swinging bunts and flares for us that have dropped in.

Amazing that Wainwright can walk Kung Fat Panda.

I'm sure he will try and pitch through the injury again next start. It's no longer on Wainwright but on the coaching for putting him back out there.

Gonzalez is the opposite of someone with electric stuff, Harold. Jesus Tits.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 07:55 PM

Poor managing by Matheny here. He actually should have brought in Choate to get through the inning, then he could have started fresh with Gonzalez after a PH in the 5th.

Unless he is pitching Gonzalez for 70-80 pitches. Remember Choate has walked a batter and gave up a homer in his last 3 batters.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2014 08:01 PM

It's nice to have a batter with some common sense. Dude throws a pitch at Jay and he stays in on it. Get on base, by. any. means. necessary.

Gonzalez is a good hitter too, well for a pitcher.

Bunting with a runner on first, one out, down three runs.

That's a perfect example of compounding a mistake. Gonzalez is your long man in the pen. Matheny needs to bring in a lefty to get out of that inning. He has plenty of time to get either Choate or Freeman warm, but he stays with Marco. Consequently, he doesn't want to pull his long man after seven pitches, so he gives up an out when we only have 14 left just so he can keep said pitcher in the game.

Martinez is warming up. He had better not be coming in after the way Gonzalez pitched.

No, he should. They might need Gonzalez tomorrow, since Choate is the only other lefty.

Well then thats even more of a managerial mistake to not bring in Choate. Then you waste an out in the bottom of the inning for what? Why didn't you pinch hit? You worried about 1 inning of pitching in this series?

OldSchool 10-11-2014 08:23 PM

Hunter Pence is one goofy looking athlete.

Great. Another fatassed, no-field left hander that is hitting everything we throw at him in a postseason series.
